Immortal - at the heart of winter

Controversial opinion but this is my least favourite album of Immortals earlier works. It lacks the punch of say a pure holocaust.

Pure Holocaust has always been the definitive Immortal album for me. I'd put ...Winter ahead of Damned in Black though.

Primordial - Where Greater Men Have Fallen

Despite some of the opinions here on it being patchy -- something I thought myself -- listened to this walking to work this morning, and it's pretty solid all around. Definitely their most epic and melodic of the later albums.

Katatonia - Brave Murder Day
This was for the walk home, hadn't heard it in years. Still as gloomy as I remember, but this time around I have much more time for the repetitive nature of the songs/riffs.
