I would say they became drastically more accessible with Nurse than after, at least that was my impression when it came out. Troublegum had more off a pop/metal combo buzz to it, sure but comparing the first two EPs to Nurse there's a massive difference.

The first two EPs are more noisy punk kind of stuff.  Nurse was really weird. I wouldn't say it was more accessible even though it's not as noisy.

Nurse and Troublegum are their high points. Infernal Love is actually not half as bad as people say, and after that they kept getting sort of heavier but not heavier, ifthat makes sense, less interesting.

Anyway, much underappreciated band, by metal fans and by rock fans. I think Therapy? caused a lot of trouble by not really being one specific genre, but a mix of 3 related genres; punk, metal, and a touch of noise/industrial vibes too...

Pleasure Death, Nurse, Troublegum, High Anxiety and Cleave (their latest one) would be my top 5 for Therapy?, in no particular order. Shameless would be their worst.

I recently got the Japanese version of Infernal Love which cuts out the David Holmes bullshit between tracks and it's a much better album as a result.

I've not heard Cleave - is it that good? I'm a Troublegum and High Anxiety kinda fella meself.

Cleave is a decent album although I haven't put it on in a while. My favourite is Infernal Love, which is probably the unpopular choice

So far today...
Zom - Flesh Assimilation, what a filthy gem, a shame they never followed up with more.
Acherontas / Slidhr - Death of the Ego / Chains of the Fallen.
Aethyrick - Solstice Cycle
Malthusian - Across Deaths, murky yet memorable, extra points for managing to mention fish jizz in the lyrics.

Definitely their best one since High Anxiety, possibly since Troublegum. Saw them when they toured it last year, they were unbelievably good.

Cleave is fucking deadly.

Been playing a lot of early Therapy? in the car lately - Babyteeth/Pleasure Death, Nurse and Troublegum exclusively. Terrific stuff.

Gave the first few tracks on Cleave a listen - the second one was shite, but the rest are decent :abbath:

I like that track, nice Helmet-y riff, nice singalong chorus.
