Cool, thanks man. I might just dive in today and have a listen to a bit of Praxis and Gnosis, given the trouble they went to in naming them especially to grab my attention.

So far for me today:

Serpent Noir - Sanguis XI
Serpent Noir - Erotomysticism

Haven't listened to the new one yet, but I've reminded myself this morning that I must do so. Erotomysticism is one I've come back to over and over since its release.

Badlands - s/t

I’m enjoying it so much there’s no way it’s not going to be followed by Voodoo Highway and Dusk.

Mooncitadel  - As Nightwind Embraced and the Shadows Caressed

Savage stuff. Looking forward to the full length.

Moonreich - Loi Martiale

Hum - "Inlet"

This is just lush and beautiful.  Closest I can put to it is somewhere between MBV and Torche.  I've never tried these lads' older stuff out before but heard they're a serious influence on a lot of bands, even though this is new you can still see why if the rest of it is like this.  Must dive back through the rest of their music.

Only discovered Hum a year or two ago, even though they are a band that definitely would have appealed to me more in their day (mid 90s). A bit like Failure I think. I bought most rock and metal mags fairly religiously back in the day, and I don't recall either getting much coverage. I know the Deftones are big fans. Didn't know they were still releasing material but this comes as a pleasant surprise, and will def check out.

Peste Noir - Folkfuck Folie
Nocturn Darkened Slaughtercult - Mardom
Gaerea - Unsettling Whispers
Lychgate - An Antidote for the Glass Pill
Marduk - Opus Nocturn

Morbus Chron - Sweven

Urkaos - Urkaos

A decent sounding demo that I just discovered this evening. I'll have to check out this guy's (Swartadauþuz) gazillion other projects

On a Therapy? buzz after picking up Semi Detached lately and I listened to Nurse twice today. It's much better than I had given it credit for. Have Infernal Love on now and it's hitting the spot as well, but I always loved that one anyway, where I thought Nurse was bum

Nurse is their finest album.

New one is great as well. Nothing like Erotomysticism though. Like a good version of Dissection - Reinkaos (including a "maith an cailín" bit) with a few GBK style riffs thrown in for good measure.

Listened to it yesterday, just once, but that seems a pretty good description. In any case, from that one time through, definitely nothing like Erotomysticism.

Yes along with their first 2 EPs, Pleasuredeath and Babyteeth.  Troublegum was almost like a black album time for them, became far more accessible after that. I still like Troublegum, Infernal Love, semi Detached but those early records were fucking brilliant.
