Judas Priest - British Steel
Doomsword - The Eternal Battle
Overkill - Horrorscope

Ascend – Ample Fire Within

Haven't listened to this in a while.
Nothing spectacular, but still an enjoyable aul' listen.
Kim Thayil's solo in V.O.G. is nicely placed.

Emperor - Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk
Mercyful Fate - Don't Break the Oath
Abhorration - After Winter Comes War

Savatage - Madness Reigns From The Gutter 1990. Great live album.

I like a lot of Savatage stuff, but find their albums a bit bloated.
I must check out that live album, though. As I reckon they're Sava(ta)ge live!

My own playlist at the moment...

Tribulation - Down Below & Sub Rosa...
Paradise Lost - Ascension & One Second
My Dying Bride - Feel The Misery
Danzig - II
Coroner - Dissonance Theory
Testament - Parabelum

Suicidal Tendencies - How Will I Laugh Tomorrow When I Can't Even Smile Today

Asbestosdeath- Dejection, Unclean.
New Model Army- Winter. Staggering stuff.
New Model Army- Vengeance.
Black Sabbath- Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. Really low volume on this reissue which is somewhat annoying.
Poison Ruin- Hymns From The Hills.
New Model Army- Something Wicked This Way Comes.
Witchsorrow- The Devil And All His Works. Arguably quite derivative of Reverend Bizarre and Electric Wizard, but this is hitting the spot for me in a way nothing I've heard by them before did.

Slift - Fantasia

First listen. Not an instant grab for me, but will be giving it further chances for sure.

Spiritus Mortis - The Great Seal
Messa - Close
Manilla Road - Atlantis Rising
Warning - Rituals of Shame
Quartz - On The Edge of No Technology

Snagged a second hand copy of this in town yesterday and have been spinning it this evening. Best UK thrash album of all time. How the fuck did he memorise all those lyrics though, the lyric sheet is 3 pages of tiny font.

Also, still had the Noise records merch sheet in it too!

That is one hell of a find! It has been a gap in my collection for years too, but I gave up hope years ago of ever getting a copy for a sane price.

30 quid felt like a bargain for it. There was a copy of the first album in there too.

Brodequin – Harbinger Of Woe
Putrid Offal – Sicknesses Obsessions

Brodequin play brutal death metal with haunting interludes and Gregorian chants that stop the album from becoming too suffocating. Similar approach to Putrid Offal who play goregrind with the auld Gregorian chants.

Phantom Fire – The Bust Of Beelzebub

From Bergen, NO so a bit of BM, but a nice dose of HM too

Quote from: open face surgery on July 05, 2026, 02:00:41 PMHad been listening to that a good bit when it came out and threw it on again last week. It's great. Will def pick it up. That, Nedgravd,  Coscradh and Godless, which needs more time, have been leading the pack of new DM releases for me.

I really must pick up a phyical copy of Nedgravd, it's amazing. fair play, I saw Blood incantation gave them a shout out in the latest tour documentary on youtube too. No doubt some of the duller posters on the Revelation board are calling them out as we speak
