The Nevermore live footage from Istanbul.

I was very skeptical about this "reunion", but holy shit they've pulled it off (at least in the live setting). Not that Dane could ever be replaced (as he's IMO the best vocalist in metal, ever), but finding someone to be able to pull off his vocals and do them justice was the biggest of tasks.

Never thought I'd have a chance to hear some of these songs live, but here we are  :abbath:

Ultha - A Light So Dim
Misotheist - De Pinte
Darkthrone - Soulside Journey
Aura Noir - Out To Die

Halford: Resurrection. (2000)(CD)

Got this one finally, phenomenal album at a time when this style was completely out of fashion.
LESS completely out of fashion nowadays and may have an appeal still.

Need to also get 'Made of Metal' , any good?

Listened to it earlier, not bad on first listen, will have to give it another blast.

Will have to give it a go over the weekend. Despite having alot of time for both bands I thought the teaser track they put up a while back fell well short of the mark unfortunately. Hoping the full record makes up for it!

Manii- Sinnets Irrganger.
Thou Shalt Suffer- Into The Woods of Belial.
Ride For Revenge- Under the Eye.
Beherit- Drawing Down The Moon.
Evilfeast- Wintermoon Enchantment.

In Ruins: We Are All To Perish

Funeral doom from (I think) Romania. Not bad, not amazing.

Had no idea this had been recorded. Gave it a spin last night and it's decent. It'll get more listens over the weekend

It came out last year, this version has a couple of extra tracks.

Listened to one track earlier, didn't like it at all - but then I don't like the Melvins and the last Napalm album I liked is 20 years old this year, so it was never going to be for me.

NP: Iron Maiden: Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son on its 38th birthday.

Just getting time to watch it, very impressed. The whole band are on top form imo, yer man Berzan Önen some pipes. The young fella Jack Cattoi is class. I'm itching to seem em' now.

Urfaust - The Constellatory Practice
Urfaust - Untergang
Kwade Droes - Met Onoprechte Deelneming
Bolzer - Aura
Bolzer - Hero

Still after all this time, hero is a  challenging record for me. So many amazing ideas that sadly, for me anyway, fall flat quite a bit. Has some phenomenal moments though.

Tried the napalm death/melvins record. Turned it off after two songs, think I need to be in the right mood for it to give it a fair stab.

Assück "Misery Index"
Immolation "Descent"
Cannibal Corpse "The Bleeding"
The Fog "Void Nexus"
Barbaric Oath "Sword, Sorcery, Vengeance"
Mortuaria "The Collection"
Suffocation "Breeding the Spawn"
Foaming Phlegm "Final Act In The Surgical Theatre"
Septic Fumes "Mucilaginous Sewage"
Chlanna Nan Con Thigibh A So's Gheibh Sibh Feoil

Yes, this is objectively their best album. Even Can I Play With Madness can't drag it down.

NP: Iron Maiden: Night Of The Dead, Legacy Of The Beast: Live In Mexico City

It's rough. Even so, the magic is there. The biggest issue is the production, like everything from No Prayer on - but it improves as it prigresses...

Yep, sounds great even for (what look to be) some hooky videos recorded from the crowd.

Your man Berzan seems to have good stage presence too.
