Death - Scream Bloody Gore
Vulture - Sentinels
Iron Maiden - Somewhere in Time
Serpent Rider - The Ichor of Chimaera

Hail Of Bullets - Of Frost And War

Bathory - Under the Sign of the Black Mark
Enslaved - Frost
Quiet Riot - Metal Health

Obviously not right now but I was locked out of the site earlier when I went to post this.
Boris - "Flood" (Live)
Live from 2012 apparently.  Just an absolutely savage rendition of an already lethal album.  Couldn't recommend this enough I have had it on basically daily since before Christmas eve.  Noise, sludge, post-rock, if you happen to not be familiar with it or Boris in general.  It gets them in good form live, the album itself is great and a lovely dronier version of what they get up to across most of their albums but this particular performance is lethal.

Sepultra - Arise
Tokyo Blade - Time is the Fire
Ancient Rites - Diabolical Serenades
Hammerfall - Glory to the Brave
Angel Sword - World Fighter

Same. Had it on yesterday fir the first time in years. Solid album. Great guitar tone

Carcass - Necroticism

There's a riff in Corporal Jigsore Quandary that every time I hear it makes me think of Rio by Duran Duran.

Kíla- Tóg É Go Bog É. Long time since I've stuck this on. What an absolute beaut. Mesmerising gypsy magic.

Ugh. Had enough of those.

Dio - Strange Highways 8.5 /10
Released the year after Sabbath's Dehumanizer and what a similarity between those two as RJD delivered an aptly titled doom laden album that must have bemused more than a few holy divers at the time.

Kontusion - Insatiable Lust For Death 8/10
When a band puts me in mind of Coffins it's usually going to go down well and so it is with the Kontusion debut in Profound Lore. This really should have been on my end of year list. Sure maybe I'll start again..

Question - Gnosis Primordial 7.5/10
The Mexican's 2017 EP,  25 minutes of dissonant, primeval Death Metal split in two by the ominous Silhouettes Of Reality instrumental

Leviathan - A Silhouette In Splinters 7/10
Wrest (or, Jeff!) goes fully dark ambient here on his third full length from 2005. I probably could have done with this on CD rather than double vinyl for wallowing purposes. If you like the back half of Filosofem you'll probably like this.

Kvaen - The Funeral Pyre 7/10
2020 debut from this Swedish one man Black Metal act, very melodic stuff in the vein of Dark Funeral or Necrophobic, good but could do with a little dose of 'nasty' for a BM album.

Blitzkrieg - Loud and Proud 6/10
2019 EP of re-recordings ,alternative versions and yet another School's Out cover . Tame enough and there's definite American radio rock leanings in places here from the NWOBHMetallers.  Got it for Xmas otherwise I'd say it's hardly a must have.

Katharsis - 666/Krucifixion
Armoured angel - communion/Stigmartyr/Mysterium
Deaf Dealer - Journey Into Fear

Had to stick an order in for the Kontusion album, love it!

Such a great, and overlooked, album. I'd have it in a top 10 of Dio's whole career

Three this morning for a hike.
Boris - "Flood" (live).  Again.  Still class.
Weedpecker - "IV: Stream of Forgotten Thoughts".  Also still savage I hadn't had it on in ages.  Just looking up the link for it there and I see they have a new album out in February, great.
Bloody Head - "Perpetual Eden".  Another one I know well, savage album, just gets better every listen.  Obsessed with how ragged it sounds.

Hiding them to not ruin the thread here but some fuckin scenery for the run of albums.

Class hike photos! I'm gonna ruin the thread now - where were you at it?

I must check out some Dio properly...
