Sounds really good, even before the song properly starts. Have really overlooked these lads over the years, any album recommendations for a Killing Joke newbie?

Start at the last one, Pylon, and work your way backwards. Great, great fucking band.

Gave it and Absolute Dissent a spin while out on the mountain this morning.

Both self-titled albums, What's This For?, Revelations, Extremities..., Pandemonium, Absolute Dissent - all gold. Laugh? I Nearly Bought One! is a fantastic compilation, a great starting point.

First five for classic post-punk/goth rock, and then then 2003 self titled on for their heavier stuff.

Wouldn't be mad on the late 80s and 90s stuff.

Killing Joke?

Pretty much all of it. Depends on the mood.

Today for me I had 2 goes at the Weedpecker album which is far better than the name would suggest.

After that I had Liturgy - The Ark Work on again. Love that album.

Not their best song but liking that bass line. It has some heft to it.

The song did prompt a spin of MMXII, Pylon and Absolute Dissent though. A serious back to back trio that most bands half their age couldn't manage.

Yeah gave it a lash its alright.

Darkthrone - Astral Fortress

Loop - Sonacy

Megaton Sword - Might & Power

That Loop album is class

Spectral Wound - Infernal decadence
Protomartyr - Relatives in descent

John Grant very good. Saw him support the National in Donnybrook.

Nice. I've never seen him live but that album is decent. A few really great songs.

Megadeth - Peace Sells.

Horrendous - Anareta

Great way to kick off the week!  :abbath:
