Wow,  like,  so deep and perceptive. Yawn.

that's fair, to be fair.

You missed quite a good Hanoi Rocks joke.

It's probably not the forum for 1950s British intercom tech, but actually, why not? Every day is a Tannoy day.

If it helps, I bore myself as much as modern metal also bores me.

It's a funny feeling when music starts sounding quite flat.

Man,  there must be some kind of forum somewhere else you can go to get the psychological attention you need.  This is a metal form.  If you find metal boring and flat then why are you here? And no,  before you even say it,  it's not the 90s anymore, but, astute observation on that front none the less.  You have proven you are at least able to decipher an Irish car registration.

Dat's just a polite way of saying !!!..FUCK OFF..!!!

It's not polite at all.

Either way this mong will keep spewing shite all over the various forum threads with impunity.
Oh for moderating....  :abbath:

Rush - A Farewell to Kings

Might go on a Rush binge over the next few days!

A Rush binge is never a bad thing

Living Colour - Shade

I could do with something new from these lads as I am not bored by them.

We're dealing with a wee hymenoptera invasion at home at the moment, so I've been on a thematic listening buzz:

Obviously:
WASP - Inside the Electric Circus
WASP - The Last Command

But also, the yellow and black attack!
Stryper - To Hell With The Devil

Just the amount of heavy silliness needed in the background while battling the green brain!

Emperor - Prometheus

Spurred on by the clichés thread. Loved this when it came out but haven't been able to make it through it in recent years. Today was a success and I once again thoroughly enjoyed it. Some amazing moments. As often stated, it's essentially a Ihsahn solo record but I'm ok with that. I'll see if I can go back to it in the coming days.

Enslaved - Vertebrae
Cynic - Traced in Air

They're a bit twee, hugely overrated.

Is twee really the term you're looking for here?

You know, it really wasn't. I dunno, there's something a bit too clean and "nice" about their sound on Hero. No balls, it just sort of ambles along. There's no bite to the production. Roman Acupuncture sounds so much better. I can hear what they're going for with their sound with Zeus, Seducer of Hearts and it works great, but they've very rarely pulled it off after that.

Today's listening

Asphyx - The Rack
Ulver - Nattens Madrigal
Magazine - Real Life
Heart - Dog and Butterfly

Gave Hero a shot earlier and enjoyed it more, definitely something I'll come back to again. Still not hearing what all the hype is over though

Hype is not an element in music; if you go looking for it, you might miss something that actually is in there.
