Old Man's Child- 'Born of the Flickering'.

Master of Reality is my favourite Sabbath album for sure (although Paranoid has my fave song, namely Hand of Doom).

Melissa and Don't Break the Oath are classics. I also think Time and Into the Unknown are the business, if maybe not quite as good.
I'd second that. All their albums have some good stuff but that lot are the most consistent

I think the songs, taken individually, are as good on one as the other, but Master of Reality just edges it in the sequencing or something along those lines

Lazerhawk - Skull & Shark

Contender for best in the genre.

Voidceremony lp- great stuff, lots of ideas, doesnt feel like I've heard this 100 times before. Leaps and bounds from the demo in terms of ambition and execution (first song is weirdly sloppy though?). Recommended

Checked out the Undeath demos also, pretty good stuff-very much reminds me of a more brutal Ripping Corpse

Gona check this new Cauldron Black Ram now. I've little tolerance for 80s inspired Aussie he-man metal so let's see how far I get

Gorerotted, Only Tools And Corpses. Great craic.

Don't think I've ever sat down and listened to a Gorerotted album, but the name always reminds me of some of the most fun gigs I ever saw in Dublin!

Ah yeah, they were gas craic. Think I got that album at a gig in the Voodo Lounge years ago actually. if memory serves they were supporting Decapitated that night. A good time was had by all.  Last I heard they changed their style somewhat and were playing under the name, The Rotted. Must look them up and see are they still at it. Mad bastards.

biomechanical also supported, odd gig, decapitated were good for about 30 minutes but got boring quick

Spot on.  Decapitated were touring the Nihility album, had a listen to it there and its a fucking great album , to my lugs anyway. That was the  old line-up, before the bus crash. They were all up on charges of rape and kidnapping there a year or two ago too in yankyland. Bit of a bad luck band. (charges were dropped eventually btw.)

The bit of Undeath I listened to was utter shit and wasn't at all moved by Cauldron Black Ram.

Voidceremony, which is great, had me going back to the two released tunes from the new Question album. Rippers.

Body count- Born dead

Beyond the circular demise - Coffins

Vergelmer-Light the Black Flame, Bal Sagoth-Battle Magic, Cradle of Filth-Vempire. For such a small label Cacophonous really struck gold when it came to releasing some gems which have stood the test of time.

Badlands - Dusk
Paradise Lost - Obsidian
Lamb Of God  - Lamb Of God

Enjoying Paradise Lost a lot more than Medusa (possibly their weakest offering).

The fact that Lamb Of God played twice before I twigged sums up how samey it is. Don't see it getting too many spins.

New Question album you say?I'm all ears.

Yeah Cauldron Black Ram was boring shite, struggled to get through the whole thing.

Going through the vinyl pile this morning, currently spinning Winter's "Into Darkness"

Schizophrenia - Voices

These lads are great, Malevolent Creation / Early Death with some Bay Area knuckle-dragging 'bro breakdown' bits here and there. Just the one EP so far, very promising band. Production is huge on it!!! A deadly looking logo is a nice bonus!!!
