Bloodthirst is the best for me. Never really warmed to the Barnes stuff, but he was already out of the band by the time I started listening to them

Quote from: Goosebumples on March 12, 2026, 10:46:19 AMI am intent to die on the hill that kill is the best  . Ill revisit the bleeding today and see how it sits with me, its been a while. I always found the lyrics a bit cheesier than the others and thus harder to swallow on that record for some reason...even thou the other stuff isnt exactly high brow  ;D

Just thinking on it, I think its all the sexual stuff on tomb n bleeding that put me off em a bit. I know its peppered throughout their career, just seems a bit much on those two for me.

Kill is a great album
They played Crúiscín Lán, Cork on that tour
I couldn't get over how well they could play!

Some go as far as saying its their best

That gig sounds class. Sadly I was still just a pimple marred schoolboy at that stage so couldnt go. Saw em in 2010ish and they were tight as fuck, but havent seen em since. It was part of a fest, so id love to see em in a more intimate venue like the cruiscin.

Tiamat - The Scarred People
Moonspell - The Butterfly Effect

Quote from: Anvil on March 12, 2026, 08:52:44 AMMidnight Force - Restless Blade
My Dying Bride - For Darkest Eyes
Lake of Tears - Forever Autumn
Seducer - Caught in the Act & Indecent Exposure
I have that on vinyl. The version with the band on the front playing live.
Great aul album, think I'll throw it on now.
Woof, just checked, it's pulling decent money on Discogs  ;D

The Ruins of Beverast - Rain Upon the Impure

Warmed to it so much more over recent years. Savage album. Got through one tune of the new album and enjoyed it but need to give it time.

Teitanblood - from the visceral abyss

Missed this when it came out, class record. Production is really nice. Vocals are utter savagery, wish I had the lungs for producing such utter madness!

Lynx - Watcher of Skies
Sadism - Necrology (1997-2002)
Gjendod - I Utakt Med Verden
Kreator - Violent Revolution
Throne of Iron - Adventure Two
Savaged - Rising

Been in hiding from the internet for most of the week, haven't listened to much either, needed to turn the mind off.  But what was on:

Jesu - "Silver"
Can't ever get enough Jesu really.  Always great.

Killing Joke - "MMXII"
I absolutely lived in this album for about two years after it came out then just didn't put it on properly again.  Had it on the other night and it is still completely class.  Savage songs, pure KJ, big clanking unique riffs.  It's in regulation rotation again now.

Uncultivates - "This Will Become Clear Later, Like The French Revolution"
Cowboy Hardcore.  Great sport.  Vicious songs, straight into it.

Masters of Reality - "The Archer"
Totally class, didn't realise they released this last year until I stumbled across it last week or so.  Have listened to it to death since.  Just lush, laid back, catchy, solid music.

Nadja: Skin Turns To Glass, Radiance Of Shadows, The Stone Is Not Hit By The Sun, Nor Carved With A Knife

I really enjoyed Cut so am going back to some of the previous stuff for the craic. Very different animal on the early material. I've only ever dipped in and out of their extensive discography so I'm pulling albums at random. Good so far.

Radiance of Shadows is savage I only had it on again here recently.

Aye, hadn't heard it in an age but I played it a lot when it came out.
