Burzum - Filosofem
Mourn the Light - The Magic is Calling
Crypt Sermon - Saturnian Appendices EP (three new songs left over from the last album and a Mayhem cover.   The new songs are mighty).
Reflection - The Battles I Have Won
Rainbow - Richie Blackmore's Rainbow

Void-Forbidden Morals
This is absolutely ridiculous in the best way. Think some sort of Annihilator/Realm/King Diamond crossbreed complete with cheesy horror obsession (Check out the music videos immediately). Terrible name, they look like poodles, but its the best 80s thrash I've heard since the 80s

Sabbat-Dreamweaver

Drawn and Quartered - The One Who Lurks
Drawn and Quartered - Congregation Pestilence
Drawn and Quartered - Lord of Two Horns

One of the most consistent death metal bands. Hail Infernal Darkness is still their peak but they've released some bangers since.

Culted - Oblique to All Paths
Nightbringer - Hierophany of the Open Grave
Clairvoyance - Chasm of Immurement (not bringing anything new to the table but I like it)
QRIXKUOR - Poison Palinopsia (looking forward to The Womb of the World)
Blut Aus Nord - Shadows Breathe First (first track from the new album Ethereal Horizons sounds promising as always)

Slayer - South Of Heaven.

Love how they fit all that good into about half an hour

Autopsy: Puncturing The Grotesque (CD)

EP/mini album from 2017, hadn't listened in a while,  quality , all over the place but in a disciplined manner.

Clairvoyance - Chasm Of Immurement 8/10
Immurment, the act of being walled up in an enclosed space, usually 'til death. Brutal stuff and a brutal first full length from this Polish quartet that I'm already considering a sister album to the recent Mortual. One of the coolest album covers you'll see all year too (Girardi).

Coffins -The Fleshland 7.5/10
Knuckles to the ground Death Doom from the sewers of Japan, Coffins can do no wrong for me and their fourth album after a fuck ton of splits and singles gathers little dust around here.

Forlorn - The Crystal Palace 7/10
An early outing for a mid-winter favourite this year, the Norwegians rather unique sounding, synth heavy, Medieval/Viking Metal offering from that weirded out year of 1997 always impresses, though a couple of the more twee passages still grit some teeth.

Hirax - Faster Than Death 7/10
New one from Hirax earlier this year and it's very much zero evolution, zero experimentation and zero chance to catch your breath as Katon and krew barrel through a whopping 22 minutes of short n snappy thrash from the street. Never has a repeat button been more useful.

Suicidal Tendencies - 13  6.5/10
2013 and the Godfathers of Crossover were back with a mixed bag of tunes and a lot of recycled Cyco rants. And I lapped it up. Still spinning it too..Suicidal For Life mofo's.

Utbyrd - Varskrik 6/10
Picked up for a quid (always room for another U on the shelves, literally) ,symphonic Black Metal from Norway, Borknagar meets Dimmu maybe, some lush synth passages when they ease off the bombast that work well and give the ears a break from the overwrought production, so yeah, I've got worse on the shelves.
Down you go with Ulver and Urn then.
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Completely agree, it's their debut I believe, very impressive. The art work is quite brilliant.

Stormwitch - Walpurgis Night (very underrated band).
Angel of Damnation - Ethereal Blasphemy (fucking weird lyrics in the final song).
Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness
Tower - Let There Be Dark
Black Sabbath - Vol 4

Carthage - Duskdawn.

Weird noisy Shoegaze sort of thing. I'm liking it!

Reverence to Paroxysm - Lux Morte
Castleumbra - Nammu Tammtu

Neither of these did a whole lot for me when they were released but they both hit the spot today.

Mitochondrion - Vitriseptome

Conan - Violence Dimension
Crypt Sermon - Saturnian Appendices

Ancient Rites - And the Hordes Stood As One
Ancient Rites - Dim Carcosa
Taake - ...Bjoetgbin...
Wheel - Preserved in Time
Marduk - Rom 5:12

Cathedral - Forest of Equilibrium
Immortal - At the Heart of Winter

Sticking with some 90's classics today.
