Have Crack the Skye on now, my favourite from them but haven't put it on in years because I used to listen to it constantly

Nearly forgot just how fucking brilliant it is, absolutely perfect

Nite - Cult of the Serpent Sun (this hasn't really caught me as much as the previous release)
Hellcrash - Inferno Cremarorio (no cocks on the artwork, not sure if it is a disappointment or a relief)
Obsidian Tongue - Eclipsing Worlds of Scorn (A pick from a Thorn review and really enjoying it).
Invocator - Weave the Apocalypse  (90s thrash from Denmark that got reissued by Hammerheart in the not too distant past.. It's solid)
Necrophic - Darkside (one of my current gardening albums...it is an absolute banger)
Solace - New Dark Age (not much to say.  It is a great album)
Lucifer's Child - The Illuminant (just arrived yesterday.  It's greek BM and sounds decent on the first listen).

Like everyone today, bits of Mastodon
Also, Van HAlen's 5150. The riff at then end of "Best of Both Worlds" has been bugging me for years, just realised it's "Celebrate" by Kool and the Gang

Blood - O Agios Pethane
Blood - Dysangelium

O Agios Pethane is a deathgrind classic. Dysangelium was released 10 years later but it's just as ferocious.

Deftones - Private Music.

Not enamoured with it on the first spin. It's very Chino and the mix is weird. Songs kinda blended into one another as well. Hopefully it's a grower

Yeah, Im 5 songs in and it's fairly unexciting, which is a shame cos I thought Ohms was fantastic.

This feels like what might happen if you got AI to write a Deftones records.

I'm gonna say "Cut Hands" and "Metal Dream" are the worst songs they've written in years. "Gore" level bad.

Mastodon: Crack The Skye

Mighty stuff, I don't play it nearly as often as I should.

The Gathering: Mandylion

Today is the Day- In the Eyes of God.

Listening to this on YouTube,my CD having grown legs many years ago. I should really replace it one of these days. What a fucking album; just dheer and utter insanity and bile.

It's savage, the only one of theirs I got into (I made the mistake of shelling out for Sadness Will Prevail, fucking unlistenable shite).

Still raging that I missed them with Neurosis that time, just got in as the last power chords were fading out.

Terror: Pain Into Power

Yeah the run from the Self Titled to this is untouchable.

Christ what a set so intense yet it was too short. Your boy from Mastodon on drums and Steve Austin was loading cassettes into a deck with the song intros between tracks. Mad stuff.

It's hurting me to agree with this but you're spot on

Kreator: Endless Pain (remaster/reissue CD)

Yeah I'm still hoppin 20 years later that I paid good money for Kiss The Pig.

Savatage - Hall of the Mountain King

Along with a bunch of Mastodon stuff.
