This is odd...

I listened to about a minute from one of the preview tracks and that was enough for me.

Riot - Thundersteel
Bolt Thrower - Realm of Chaos
Immortal - Battles of the North
Gorgoroth - Destroyer

Beherit - Drawing down the moon
Impaled Nazarene - Tol cormpt norz norz norz
Mayhem - Deathcrush
Emperor - Emperor/Wrath of the tyrant

On an ole black metal buzz lately. Even watched Fenriz giving a class on the history of BM on YouTube, gas man.

Lunar Aurora - Weltenganger

Napalm Death - Apex Predator 9.5/10
Top of the food chain these past few days ND's 2015 barnstormer, containing the likes of 'Hierarchies', 'Adversarial' and 'Smash A Single Digit' , some of the most addictive, yet still destructive, tracks in their entire  back catalogue.

Crypt Sermon - Out Of The Garden 9/10
Again from 2015, this Philadelphian five piece announced themselves to the Metal World with this highly impressive paean to Epic Doom and Traditional Heavy Metal, raising eyebrows, then fists, amongst Candlemass and Solitude Aeturnus fans everywhere.

Wrathprayer - Enkoimeterion 8.5/10
A favourite from last year and it was a long wait since 2012 but this Chilean duo opened a portal to Hell here with this horrific, cloying, abyss of an album.

Blood Monolith - The Calling Of Fire 8/10
New from Profound Lore and featuring members from Vastum, Nails and Undeath sandblasting their way through 8 tracks in 28 minutes of some of the most unhinged and abrasive Death Metal I've heard all year.

Urn -Demon Steel 7.5/10
Album number 6 from Urn and they're sounding remarkably like D666 these days, throw a bit of Venom in there and you've got a pretty good idea what this is all about. I dig it. And I also dig the cover art harking back to the second album.Who doesn't love when an evil snowman reveals itself to be an even more evil eldritch Cello player?

Ossuary - Abhorrent Worship 7/10
Much vaunted debut from Ossuary, had to grab it on record from Invictus when I saw the cover art, little underwhelmed I have to say but that's largely down to not liking that vocal filter or effect. The music itself is some seriously ominous, psyched out Death Metal, like freakin' Autopsy on acid, no problems there. Who knows maybe the vox will grow on me.

Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Black Sabbath - Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
Gatekeeper - East of Sun
Therion - Deggial
Iced Earth - Horror Show
Iced Earth - The Dark Saga
Iced Earth - Plagues of Babylon

Cultes des Ghoules - Henbane, ...or Sonic Compendium of the Black Arts
Doom Snake Cult - Love Sorrow Doom (Goatlord singers other project)
Black Death Cult - Devil's Paradise (Track 2, Double Monolith is exactly what im looking for at the moment)

Porcupine Tree - In Absentia.

Has been a long time but I love this album

Dimmu Borgir - Enthrone Darkness Triumphant
Malthusian - The Summoning Bell
Scumripper - For a Few Fixes More
The Crown - Crown of Thorns
Destruction - Cracked Brain
Dodheimsgard - Monumental Possession
Ozzy Osbourne - Blizzard of Ozz
Kreator - Coma of Souls

Gary Moore - Wild Frontier
Godflesh - Purge
Napalm Death - Apex Predator-Easy Meat
The Waterboys - Room To Roam

Napalm Death - Throes Of Joy In The Jaws Of Defeatism.

Ah it's just fucking ripping

Discharge - Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing
Disfear - Live the Storm

Utter cunt of an album title. It reads like something off the most recent Primordial album. If you can't condense your idea into a couple of words, get a new fucking idea!

They followed it up with 'Resentment Is Always Seismic - A Final Throw Of Throes' which is even worse.

The lads in Napalm Death need to hide Barney's thesaurus and and force him to go back to using titles like 'Fear Emptiness Despair'.

With tunes like this they can call it what they like

Although I concede it's a ridiculous title, it's also ridiculously face melting

I heard a song off it which was post punky in nature and liked it. But that fucking title.
