Just the two albums over the weekend on repeat.  Two favourites I haven't listened to in a while.

The Vision Bleak - Carpathia. A Drama Poem
Doomsword - Let Battle Commence

Ah Doomsword, vague memories of seeing them at that fest down in Abbeyleix. I think!
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Yup they played DOD. It was deadly as I recall.

Halford- Live Insurrection (2001)  CD

When he left Priest in the 90s, he did this live album (amongst other albums). Contains songs from 'Resurrection' , some songs from his band Fight, and some Priest songs. Great companion to the Priest live 98 album. Want Priest but different? choose one or the other. :abbath:

Crimson Glory - Transcendence
Tribulation - Formulas
Agalloch - The Mantle
Katatonia - Discouraged Ones

Bit of a downward mood spiral of a playlist today!

Unfortunately I wasn't at that Doomsword gig.

Inquisition - Into the Infernal Regions of the Infernal Cult
Incantation - Onward to Golgotha
Triumpher - Storming the Walls
Mount Salem - Endless
Gorgoroth - Quantos Possunt Ad Satanitatem Trahunt
Angel Sword - World Fighter

Type O Negative - Dead Again
Cannibal Corpse - The Bleeding

Mechanical Animals. For as much of an idiot as he became, he sure was exciting when near the beginning.

Scorpions - Taken by Force

Halo Effect - March of the Unheard
Hextar - Doomsayer
Midnight Force - Severan
Blazing Rite - Endless Halls of Golden Totem
Motorhead - Bomber

Dissection - Storm of the Light's Bane

Savage. I know we all know, but it bears remembering that he hadn't even turned 20 years old here, the prick   :abbath:

Might even give Reinkaos another go later on.

Reinkaos on here for the first time. I like it. It brings to mind Tribulation, The Black Album and maybe even Enforcer. I get why die hard Dissection fans might hate it but as a very casual listener to their stuff with no strong sense of allegiance to the earlier stuff I am able to enjoy it for what it is.

Long time since I've put on Mechanical Animals but I liked it as a young lad. Dunno how well it would hold up for me now. I revisited Antichrist Svperstar a year or two ago and it was fun for a listen but it went back on the shelf after that.

....shite.

I've gone back to it plenty of times over the years and just hate that style in general so Dissection playing it makes it worse.

I left that wide open for you and you didn't disappoint.
