Quote from: Eoin McLove on July 31, 2024, 12:53:01 PMMy Hellbutcher LP arrived today but I haven't had a chance to spin it yet. The album cover is really cool looking but it turns out it was AI generated. I feel sick. That's it, I'm going to listen to Frogsword again.

top album..must get the cd myself
Just got first  batch of Helloween 2024 remasters..sucker for a digipak so will get em all

The Hellbutcher LP is great and yes I read that also about the artwork being AI. Seeing them live at the end of the month which I am looking forward to.

Shame about that Nifelheim boxset that went up for pre-order yesterday.

€200 plus shipping for 4 LP picture box set and the only extra thing each album comes with is a poster so essentially you are paying €50 for each record.

For comparison the Anal Cunt boxset last year was 6LPs, a book and some other stuff it cost €130 and the Dismember 12LP box that also came with a massive booklet was €220.

That's hefty alright. I have to remind myself to convert from euro to AUD. I'm used to seeing nutty prices on things over here but it's usually not *that* bad when converted to Euro with postage factored in.

and its pic disc...puke

Bulldozer haul arrived today

Looking at preordering a Rory Gallagher- BBC boxset, 18cds and a few blurays.  Hefty price

Tower Records seems to be the cheapest for the Rory cds -€149. Anyone spot anything better?

An OG South Of Heaven on purple vinyl for 15e in that wee shop in Letterkenny. There can't have been many coloured, never mind purple, vinyls about in 1988 when this came out.

High on Fire- Cometh the Storm CD.

After spending years trying to find more obscure stuff and overlooking the classics, I'm now on the hunt to complete my OG 80s Maiden LP collection. It's been a bit of a challenge trying to find the sweet spot between price and grading but came across these 2 mint Japanese first presses sans Obi's. I'm meant to be on a vinyl detox but couldn't turn these down after a bit of haggling, delighted with them  :D

Cool find! never heard of an original pure version

Yeah, I'm chuffed to have it on the shelves now alright, you just being expect anything but black from an 80's original. Most importantly though it plays like brand new  8)
