I know I'm not the only retard here who still buys physical formats and isn't arsed with boring downloads. What tasty gems have you received in the post lately? Waiting for me when I got home today were...

Thorns- 'S/T' DLP.
I didn't like this one at all when I picked it up on CD some years ago. The sterile production wasn't what I was after at all, and so it sat and grew an impressive layer of dust on my shelf. Only last year I decided to give it another go,  mainly because I love Snorre's guitar playing on the demo material, and it really grew on me. The LP edition looks fantastic. They artwork which I also wasn't fond of originally looks brilliant blown up- or maybe it looks better to me because I'm enjoying the music more and have become more receptive to the overall concept.

Beyond Dawn-'Pity Love' LP.
I've never bothered with this lot for no real reason but decided to take a chance on it.  Something a little bit different than my usual listening,  but looking forward to getting stuck into it.  I had it on on the phone a week or two ago and it sounded interesting.  Not an immediate head over heels reaction but it sounded like one that might get under my skin with a bit of exposure.

Just today I got a Vile Creature T-shirt from Evil Greed. Got their discography compilation in the post (from Amazon) on Friday and should have the new album (Bandcamp) this week. New discovery for me, cracking stuff. Sludge, black metal, doom combo.

Most recently, I've got the two latest Old Man Gloom albums and the Jesu s/t on Vinyl.  All great.  Had to stop using discogs last year because it was a fucking killer on the pockets but I had my eye on that Thorns album there too.  Might have to go back and grab it.

Today I recieved HEAVY LOAD, Death or Glory vinyl reissue from Cruz Del Sur.
Comes with a bonus 4 track cd which is cool and extensive liner notes on each track which I prefer to an album overview from the band.
Apart from being a big fan of the album I've long wanted that artwork in the collection, supercheese or supercool?  I know which camp I'm in  8)

Freebie with this from CdR in the form of a white Villainy vinyl entitled II. Never heard of 'em, one 20/100 review on MA doesn't bode well.
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Jonathan Wilson - Rare Birds (been obsessed with this fella lately and picked up the record last week.)

VBE - Written In Waters
Cryptopsy - None So Vile
Rev Biz - In the Rectory..

No explanation needed. 3 of my favourite albums. Postage from Svart was 8e.

Could never get into Cryptopsy, the bass always put me off.

Got the expanded edition of Empath by Devin Townsend last week but haven't had a chance to give it a listen yet

Also grabbed the two Xoth albums off bandcamp along with a t-shirt, which is down to my knees it's so fucking big. Why can't there just be standard sizing for shirts?

Tell me about it. I bought a Behemoth T-shirt from their site a few years back, XXXL as usual because burgers and I like them baggy. Bloody thing was skintight, barely got into it. Sent it back for a bigger size, said I'd get 5XL just to be safe, and it's like a fucking mumu.

I bought a Suffocation t-shirt at a their gig in Fibbers and yeah, mu-mu is the perfect description for it...

Gaerea - Limbo
Gaerae - S/T
Bathory - The Return (fan club edition)
Bathory - Under the Sign of the Black Mark (fan club edition)

Burzum on LP....

Hvis lyset tar oss & Filosofem.... (Filosofem is a double LP)..........

Both delivered for the princely sum of €34.70....
Amazon has its uses....  :abbath:

That's for fuck all really. Especially with Filosofem being a double lp.

Recent, cheap second hand finds (locally):

Mortal Sin: Mayhemic Destruction (vinyl)
Megadeth: Rust in Peace (picture disc)
Metallica: Lightning, Puppets (cassette tapes)
Vio-Lence: Oppressing the Masses (vinyl)
