Never really listened to them bar the odd song here and there over the years, any recommendation for a first proper listen?

Elizium is the one that worked for me. Haven't dug much digger so maybe there's better recs.

Plastic Head sale on hoodies, grabbed an Eliminator one for 16e inc. postage, nice.

Amor Fati have a 20% off sale so I picked Pharmakeia - Maenadic Ecstasy and Arnaut Pavle - Transylvanian Glare.

Just ordered

Graveland- The Celtic Winter LP
Vulcano- Bloody Vengeance LP

I have listened to neither so two blind buys. It's probably considered a metal sacrilege that I've never heard a note of Vulcano before. Let's see if they live up to the hype  8)

Just ordered through Soulseller...

Old Man's Child - In the Shades of Life CD.
Rotting Christ- Triarchy of Lost Lovers CD.
Aeternus- Dark Sorcery LP.

Now I await the kick up the hole when the wife sees the bill  ???

That's virtually the whole length of the world in shipping right?

You're not anywhere near any of those shops Simon goes to I take it then?

Simon Berserker? There are a few local shops but their stock is limited. I grab what I can local but I often have to fork out for postage from the US or Europe.

Simon from Explosive Action Channel. That's one of his shopping trips in the link

Kyuss- Blues for the Red Sun CD.
Slayer- South of Heaven CD. I used to have it on tape 30 years ago, it grew legs and I never quite felt the urge to replace it. Until today. There are many of my old tapes and CDs that all need replacing so bit by bit...

2 essentials for me, my respective favourite of each band. Nothing comes close to the cranking up of each. Indeed, it's now a toss up between each to replace Among The Living...

I only discovered that I liked Kyuss a couple of years ago by grabbing the missus's CD of And the Circus Leaves Town CD and firing it in the car. Very decent. I saw Blues... in JB Hifi today for under $20 and reckoned I could swing it as she'll listen to it as well. South of Heaven might be a slightly tougher sell

It's got to be a dealbreaker. Not liking South Of Heaven, ah jaysus...

Green Machine on MTV was my introduction to Kyuss so that album will always be my favourite of theirs. That riff alone is the stuff that dreams are made of.
