I saw them in the Olympia too. Only time I ever saw them and I enjoyed it big time even though I only actuality got into them in the past few years. Love them now and I'm glad I did get to see them.

That Olympia gig was great, for sure.
Only time I got to see them, as well.
Therapy? supported too.

They must have played there a few times, the one I was at had Sweet Savage supporting.

Bastards is probably the pick of the Campbell era stuff for me.

I can't remember the support to save my life.

They were absolutely savage in The Ambassador in 04.

ffsakes, gutted  :'(  RIP

Yeah, I was offered a free ticket on the day to that one, but didn't fancy heading down to Dublin on my own at such short notice. Gutted...

RIP Phil. Always came across as a decent bloke, and a really good guitarist...

The one I was at was in 09, just had a look on setlist fm out of pure nerdy interest. What's interesting is they didn't play here from 83 until 2001, and then played basically every year or two during the 2000s. Was anyone at the 'Xtreme Fest 2002' in the RDS with er...Danko Jones?

09 sounds right for the one I was at. Who supported that night?

That was Sweet Savage, they were Vivian Campbell's band before he joined Dio in the 80s, they're best known for Metallica covering one of their tunes on Garage Inc.

Only 64, assumed he was a fair bit older

Was at the '08 show. Wasn't a fan, not that I didn't like them just never listened, but it was a savage night

Only other time was when they headlined Bloodstock and Lemmy was clearly on his way out by that point, was pretty sad to see

I remember when Fast Eddie died, I was suddenly aware that Motorhead are the only band I was listening to (that I'm aware of), that have albums made by people who are all dead now.

Phil was indeed a great player, caught Motorhead live a few times between 2006 - 2010 and they were always great.

RIP

For the sleazy loose style it was hard to beat Fast Eddie but for riffs Phil Campbell was the man.
The dvd from Germany during the Inferno tour is brilliant.
A real rock star without zero bullshit.
