  Tbf, he didn't say to say nothing, and threw it into a group chat so arrayaknowyerself. Have already seen a couple social media posts saying same.

Sad news if true!

Newstalk confirming it there

Awful news. Himself and his missus had a kid in 2022... brutal for them. RIP.

It's being talked about on the radio now!

Yeah, the papers are running stories on it now too.

Seen him solo a few times over the yeras and The Frames at couple of festivals.Always a brilliant performance. He seemed to achieve more success solo at least in the USA anyway than he ever did with The Frames who like alot of other Irish bands never seemed to get the big break they needed.

Outrun was a great album.Bought it on the back of seeing Drive.

Jesus thats awful. Saw the frames 25 years ago and they were great back then. He was on top form with Eddie vedder but the best gig I saw him at, was when he performed with Interference (the singer passed away from motor neurone disease) and that was sensational. RIP

Great documentary called Breaking Out about Fergus O Farrell.Definitely worth a watch.

Some fella killed himself onstage at a Swell Season gig a few years ago. Say what you want about the music but that's a step too far.

Confirmed now. Sad news, he came across as a bit overly earnest or something but he was a decent songwriter/performer. The Frames were mighty for the most part, his solo & Swell Season stuff was hit & miss but generally good. Sad for the child too, only a couple of years old.

A few from that 'scene' gone now, between himself, Mic Christopher, O'Farrell etc.
