Just listened to the En Minor album there. His voice is probably the weakest part of what's an interesting enough idea for an album. Kinda gave me Scott Kelly vibes at times with the delivery

On a slight tangent, I just read a comment that was making the point that Count Grishnakh is the poster boy for keeping his politics out of his music and I thought it was fair enough

Aye, electric cooker, kettle, all that craic. Didn't even have anything in to make a sandwich. Thankfully there's a corner shop an 8 minute walk away, so it worked out in the end. The few hours' peace was grand.

By contrast, let's not forget formerly anti-war (before that stance risked losing fans) Hetfield's weak as fuck statement when their music was being used as part of torture procedures in Guantanamo:

Yes they've said things before when they were asked and they can have songs about whatever they want whether it's political or not but they didn't say anything at that gig other than talking about films like there's just no need for it every single time. Lads who love it that much can still love it after the gig as well. And it's not because it's pro Palestine by the way, it's that politics of some sort of other seems to be all over everything now and it is tiring.

Anyway I'm pissing into the wind and I'll be just as guilty of banging on and on as anyone else if I don't just learn to live with it.

Other people probably feel strongly the other way and fair play to them to never want to switch off from the task at hand.

As for Hetfield, it's been over for me since he got into the whole 'tallica family thing. There's just no coming back from that no matter what he says

His shot voice works well in that context.
