Suffocation - Pierced From Within 9/10
Setting the standard for Brutal (not brootal) Death Metal all the way back in '95, this thing is still as crushing as it is technically imperious.
Suffocation at their best. Effigy is good, but Pierced is an absolute beast of an album.
NP Devin Townsend - Ocean Machine: Biomech
Exploring Devin Townsend after being knocked out by SYL's City recently. Brilliant album. Don't know how this passed me by. I would have been 17 when this was released and would have loved it. I was probably listening to Coal Chamber.

Quote from: Carnage on April 28, 2025, 03:16:12 PMJeremy Irons as Chamberlain was value for money, but the guy playing Hitler was terribly miscast. He was the guy who played Goebbels (perfectly, it must be said) in Downfall. Ridiculous decision to cast him in a different role considering how iconic Downfall is for that genre.

Some may have the seen the videos of this guy standing in the middle of the road in Carrickmacross on Sunday evening waving a knife trying to get people out of their cars.
I can't think of a worse way to get somebody out of their car than waving a knife at them
😂

Kaamos - s/t
Kaamos - Lucifer rising
What a great band these lads were. Balls to the wall no gimmick occult Death Metal. Must try track down the LPs.

Sinners was unbelievable. I knew nothing about it going in other than the name. Which I'd advise anyone going to see it know as little as possible going in. The perfect cinema experience.
On the other hand, Warfare and Queer were 2 of the worst films I've had the misfortune of seeing in the cinema in a long time.

Only 5 CoD tracks in that set list. Is this the regular anniversary tour set list? Strange if so.
I'm going to catch the full CoD set at Maryland in a few weeks and make up for missing the original tour on my doorstep as a 15yo with no money.
5 + medley of Chopped in Half / Turned Inside Out, that's almost 7 out of 9

Yazoo were great, shame they did so little.
