First time seeing Metallica and it was a great gig(Sunday)good crowd, good weather and more importantly a nice mix of old stuff and not too much new stuff.
The sound was good much better than Gojira's although it improved a bit towards the end off their set,Mario is a beast of a drummer.

I find it very difficult to spin any Deicide albums post once upon the cross, they just dont stick for me, couple of catchy tracks here and there but that's it.

Quote from: Pagan Saviour on May 06, 2026, 07:41:17 AMI've had it on all week, it's brilliant. Only track I've no time for is Det oerhörda sounds a bit Euro Metal but there's not a dud track to be had over the rest of it.
I actually like that track its a good solid album from start to finish, dark distortion, interstellar death and phantom gospel are great tracks.
Ordered the limited edition lp for good measure  :abbath:

Liking what I've heard of this so far, defo a nod to some of the old stuff in there and one of their better releases since they reformed.

The new track sounds very good too, there's an Irish vibe off it!

Quote from: Carnage on March 24, 2026, 11:55:23 AMA fantastic comeback album alright. There's a live album from the Anastasis tour that's worth hearing, the 2 CD version has all of the album tracks played live on it.
Will have to check that out  8)

Quote from: Eoin McLove on March 20, 2026, 08:50:08 PMI can never quite get into DCD. I only have Into The Labyrinth and I dunno, it's grand.

Listen to the Anastasis album. Fantasic album. The sound alone is intoxicating.
Thats a brilliant album.

Good turn out last night and Dolan's really is a superb venue, the sound was  excellent and you weren't blasted out of it.
First time seeing PL live, nice to hear some of the old stuff (pity there wasn't more)and the songs from the new album sounded decent live.
I wouldn't be in a rush to see them live again but not sorry I went.

Quote from: jobrok1 on March 20, 2026, 04:12:19 PMSunday night... This will surely start/finish a bit early.

Any mention of times yet?
Couldn't find anything yesterday.

You probably got the same email, but here anyways.

I always found PL very hit and miss and certainly not as good as the early My dying Bride, early Anathema when the trinity is mentioned.
Il head to this as Ive never seen them live before and the last album was decent.
Hopefully well get to hear some old stuff played.
Any idea of stage times?

Think Scotland could do us next week but that loss to Italy will cost them the championship.
