First proper gig I was ever at was Machine Head, Mary Beats Jane and Meshuggah in the SFX in 95 so there would be a nostalgia factor but would never go and see that clown in a million years these days.

Almost finished watching it. I cannot imagine what someone with no knowledge of the story would make of this movie. Apart from the members of Mayhem at the start and then Varg, no characters are introduced and it would be difficult to keep track of who is who or what's going on. Terrible acting for the most part, bad comedy but compelling viewing all the same. Funny movie.

I remember enjoying them at COF (both nights, freebie second night like most people). I remember Far Far North sticking out to me. I bought Odin Owns Ye All and was pretty disappointed with all the cheesy sounding keyboards and how "light" it sounded. I listened to it not so long ago and it's a pretty bad album to my ears. I was really into Born of the flickering so OMC were the highlight for me, The Pagan Prosperity wasn't bad at all.

NSBM is about as dangerous as a rubber spork and about as politically relevant.

Hugely controversial alright

Went looking for this on YouTube to discover there's some doomy rockers from Spain called Fungus and their album is called Exodus, huh.

Amazing album, love the lead work and "Night Sky" is one of the best album openers of all time.

It reads a lot like it is as they spend the majority of it talking about him so I'm sure he had some input.

Nothing recorded yet.  It's funeral doom/ doom death sorta gear.

I think he meant Smythsonian's stuff.

Was on about Smythsonian as I saw there might be some sort of recording online, but I am indeed also looking forward to Bacterium.

Some samples for ya:

Sounds cool, looking forward to hearing the finished article, thanks for sharing.

I was reading a thread about it on NWN. The statement is by nyogthaeblisz who are also Hellvetron and are Mexican. Silly and funny statement though.

Does anyone know if the Plague Pit demo will ever see a physical release?

They're a mysterious bunch

"They" ::). Clearly just one person and some home recording equipment.

Thanks Sherlock

His/Her/their label seems to think otherwise...

Plague Pit has signed recently with Ablaze Productions

I-MMXVIII

Irish Blackened Death Metal band Plague Pit was formed in 2016 from the ashes of many old, defunct metal ensembles. The band plays a demonic, unapologetic brand of Death Metal that blends old and new influences into a blasphemous mix.
Plague Pit's visceral music is adorned by hermetic lyrical themes that, through the exploitation of popular magical symbology and avatars, seeks to imbue the listener with unadulterated Satanic energy and inspire them to pursue their most heinous desires.
Displeased with the traditional band dynamics and expectations from the public, the members of Plague Pit took a radical turn and opted for complete anonymity. By removing the ego from their art, the band is able to conjure their barbaric hymns driven by nothing but absolute nihilistic hatred.
CD Jewel Case available August 2018

Impossible, me saying "they" was clearly absolutely ridiculous   ::)
