Hi folks

I'm selling a standing tic to the Offspring this Wednesday 12th November at the 3 Arena. €65

Would love to go but had a choice to make between it and Ireland v Portugal the following night... and I've chosen the masochism of the football instead!  ;D

If interested let me know.  Revolut preferred.   I am a reliable and upstanding person

He said KP were good, but I'm not familiar with them at all bar the general write off of then.

Ahh brilliant.   Absolutely delighted to hear this!!  👍

Thanks folks 👍👍.

Am proper excited for Power Trip , I must say.  Have fostered a bit of an obsession with them over the last 6 weeks.  Was beyond gutted when I discovered poor Riley had died too .  But Seth seems to be doing good in his shoes .    Their live 'Soul Sacrifice' at Bloodstock on YouTube is mighty .

I don't mind King Parrot either, front what I've heard.  I love 'Bozo'. Good wee hook in it .  Their vids are quite slick too .

Haven't been to a gig in 3 Arena before:  I don't assume there's a pit or impromptu gold circle for this is there?  Only asking asking as have two separate standing tiks , one says entrance 1, other says entrance 3 , and wondering if one brings you to the secret path to glory .   Haha

It was a fantastic night in Belfast on Friday.     Absolute pleasure to see them .  Was delighted they totally brought it and smashed it - had been worried they'd be done out after the big journey (or just simply wasted !) but I'd a very good mixture of moshing and just standing back and soaking in the glory.  As posted above, you could really appreciate the hardcore / punk aspects of their music, and that was class.   Laughed my ass off to yer fella at the end who shouted out ironically, "play your hits!"

Went to the gig with a buddy who doesn't know much about EHG , and i saw him  chatting randomly to this gnarly looking dude at the door outside , who was about to head upstairs . I realised it was the bassist Gary, and I walked over to say hello.  He flippin stayed chatting to us for about 15 minutes and asked us if we could make him a rollie.      I wasn't even asking him bullshit fanboy questions, just standing like a mute , and then panicked when he still stayed with us , as by then I'd ran out of conversation material . Super chilled down to earth guy . Quality experience.

Got a quick word with Mike after too as he was going up the stairs .

I was so stoked by those small interactions , that I now feel that they are my two besties and I am essentially a member of EHG.  Absolute mental derangement.

I really think I have stalker tendencies...

The whole up close and personal experience of the gig in the small venue was an interesting vicarious experience , as you saw warts and all what life is like for a touring / working band , and all the constant drinking , smelliness and tiredness of it all .    Not easy on the body for sure.

To echo what was also said above, I really am worried about Mike and the booze.   Only read a couple of days ago that he'd a full liver transplant in 2016 ffs.   I mean, shit.

Have a good feeling they'll come back next year , fingers crossed .

Also got talking to Sammy from GoatWhore, with my Acid Bath word vomit.   He said Ireland was a place they definitely want to bring the band.   Maybe he was just appeasing me .     As my ma would say, they probably thought i was being a wee puke .

P.S. having now read what Micko just posted above re: the knobs at the Dublin show , I shudder to think that I may indeed be just another knob.    Although I'm not a bro dude!

But I am going to see Pantera in February, incidentally...

I really liked the Scum album, and some Amen in my younger days.

So annoyed by this. For me, the best gig I was ever at was when Amen played Belfast in 2007.   Limelight was sparsely filled, very poor crowd .    But what a show.  Raw hatred, aggression and high octane energy.   Truly blown away.    Such pace in a rip roaring set.  And the sound and tightness of Casey and the band was sharp as hell too.    It's all subjective obviously , depending on one's own tastes , preferences and bias, but nothing has ever topped that gig for me. A seminal moment in my music attending life.     And the source of my corny af username here, from a week or so ago, no less!!

Flip!  Must be because they're travelling straight over from bloody Bristol the night before.  No handy way to get across other than what seems like an epic drive and a ferry.  At least they'll have had a bit of rest with the late start.    Crowd will be fairly steaming too!!! Class!!!
