Savage lineup, and I'll be able to walk home after? Sold!

Retirement of Souls

Just finished a run through of the discography, apart from Seventh Star, Headless Cross, and Tyr which I don't have and need to remedy

The absolute quality Iommi kept up is ridiculous, amazing riff after amazing riff for decades. Even the maligned Forbidden sounded much better than I remember, especially when listening to it straight after some of the other Martin albums

I'd say the only real dud they have is 13, and I'd lay the blame for that on Rick Rubin, I think Iommi and Geezer have both said he was the wrong choice. And I always found it odd that three of the best songs were bonus tracks and not on the main album. The Devil You Know would've been a much better sign-off

Stuck in a preorder for the new Hannes Grossmann album

Got around to watching The Bone Temple, still didn't sort any of the plot holes for me that 28 Years Later brought in, but I found it much better overall

To bring this vision to life, we selected venues in Ireland and Europe that perfectly match the immersive symphonic atmosphere:

November 19 - Dublin, The Sound House

The dingy room over a pub is always my go to place for a symphonic atmosphere

Yeah, can't really single out anything from the likes if Cynic, Atheist. Was going to mention some from Suicidal Tendencies too but there's an absolute heap of great bass there

Ah I used to love those first two albums, still stick on War of Art now and then but it could have done with trimming off a few songs

Think the bassist that wrote everything died a few years ago, and the singer is homeless now

Watching the 80s Twilight Zone the last couple of evenings. Pretty sure the idea was put in my head from something in this thread.

Sort of the TV equivalent of comfort food for me.

Watched a load of the 50s and 80s ones myself a while back. Never seen them before, was mad realising how many shows have taken stories and bits here and there from it

Always heard great things about this, but there's only a handful of bands there I'd be interested in. Might wait and see who else gets announced before committing

The new Dissimulator, they've only gone and topped the debut, this could beat Ripper for tech - thrasher of the year!!

Had no idea they'd a new one! Guess I need to get an order in, debut was absolutely brilliant

Yeah, bit of a shock one, no details other than he passed away

Cronos, just confirmed on the Venom facebook

Definitely had potential, they could all play and the singer had a range from Anselmo to Halford. Cannibalised had some decent riffs but they try to cram a million other things on top and nothing is given a chance to develop

City claiming now they have "irrefutable proof" that will clear them of everything. If that's the case they probably should have handed it over at any point in the last eight years this has been going on. Hope the club gets absolutely destroyed for this
