There is much to explore with this group, sounds and textures, atmosphere. Most importantly, great song writing across many years (whether you prefer some albums over others ).

RIP , will be blasting 'Welcome To Hell ' tonight.  No age.  They are all dropping off now , all the legends. Who will replace them?. Can they ever be replicated.

Life of Agony- Through and through  (the intro part)

Priest..live!  (LP)

Terrible cover (what was going on there?!) but a great live album , 'TURBO' era.

Regardless , I will go to bat for this album . It was the one I ignored for the longest time , gave it a go recently and loved it.  Maybe a case of nostalgia for this band. Taste is subjective.  I understand all the criticism  of LIKM though.

Was lucky to be at the SFX gig back in the day. I only became a fan after that show.

Out of curiosity,  setlist.fm (look it up, Type O sfx dublin 1997) lists only 4 songs played at that gig. Was the gig that short or that long?.

Your preferences are your own man , no one has a problem with them  . I just recently discovered LIKM after having given their 2000s material a miss for whatever reason, AND I happen to really dig it is all.

I've tried so many times with Life Is Killing Me and there are good bits here and there fair enough but it just doesn't have many great bits.

Having given the entire thing a proper listen (after having not for the longest time) , I would say that it is a solid distillation of their sound up to that point (in 2003) across 15 tracks. Enjoyed it. Especially dig the 80s vibes (to my ears) in 'Todds ship Gods'.

why is this thread still in off-topic..?

I posted it quite some time ago off topic by accident, which I said before. If someone here could change the location of the thread much appreciated.

Have recently bought 'Life is Killing Me'(cd).. which I have given less attention to over other albums but...

That intro to the title track with the synth lines is great , wish it were longer. The riffs and melodies on 'I don't Wanna be Me' sound Killing Joke influenced . Regardless,  miss this band.

Amadeus (1984)

An odd one, though I love it. The story of Mozart meets a John Hughes esque cool kid type of movie.

Demon Bitch: Hellfriends (cd, 2024)

Quality 'retro' heavy /speed metal from 2024.

Jaguar: Power Games (color vinyl. Ltd edition)

Killer stuff.

Buldak spicy carbonara pot noodle

What sick fuck unleashed that shit on the world

I love noodles from time to time but those Buldark noodles are evil. Avoid.

Who is seeking to ban Ali G?

Hilarious isnt it. Next it'll be the Beatles because they took drugs.
