Went out the weekend only got around 30. Very sparse. Been hearing of lads finding decent hauls around the coasts but fuck all doing in Tipp as of yet. The suspense is killing me and even though I've had a handy couple of trips already and can get plenty of last year's preserve, there's nothing like getting out for a pick it's one of my favourite things ever when the getting is good.

My missus takes a few herself so that's handy although she'd be nowhere near as fond of them as I would. Tbf she does be getting a bit annoyed with me towards the end of the season after I've given all my spare time out on the hunt

A friend of mine started on the shrooms last year. He'd wait til the wife and kids were in bed and then he'd have a wee nibble.

Oh, and by the way....
This year's harvest is supposed to be very potent. I can verify this, but I was told by a mate that a few people he knows were tripping balls on tiny amounts. People who are micro-dossing were tripping balls at work, lol...
I gave a mate who arrived at our home on Friday for a few drinks/smokes two of the biggest libs I picked on Friday afternoon that were drying out in my bedroom. He munched them down and we thought nothing of it....
Half an our later, he went to the toilet and when he came back to the dining table, the large Sugar Skull that sits on the wall over the table, well... it's eyes started spinning round, jajajajajaja....
So yes, they're quite potent alright, lol... 

Yep, I've heard a few people saying they are stronger this year, at least when fresh anyway. Why is this? I didn't think they'd vary in strength year to year. If this is true then I wonder what causes the potency to fluctuate, and would they differ from county/field?

Picked about 200 yesterday but had to cover a fair amount of terrain/altitude to get them. A mate of mine just walks to his magical field and can pick in 10 mins what takes me 2.5 hours.

Still, I fucking love the hunt.

I've still to score any decent amount this year and haven't found them stronger but I like the sound of this and I do love the hunt myself. Reckon there's a bit of the terroir at play with the mushies? Probably is to an extent

Got another 200 today, didn't have to cover as much altitude as last time. There's a fair amount out there to be pickin lads!

I always pick them at the same golf course every year but I was going for a walk the last day around where I live and in a field not too far from my house I found a huge field covered in them.

Still very little doing here in Tipp but it's improving slowly. Definitely needs to be colder but I got roughly 100 in less than an hour yesterday which is progress but nowhere near the dizzy heights of last year's bonanza.

they are up the hills in wicklow anyway! Got the first ones at the very start of the month and the numbers have been increasing weekly
