New stuff sounds good.

I must be one of the few  who enjoyed GDOW however nothing can beat DMDS. Youd wonder where euronymous would have taken the band had he not been killed. Would he have knocked out a few more classics? Say what you want about him but his playing on that record is incredible.

Grand Declaration of War is a very dividing album. Half of people love it and the other half hate it. I've never heard a middle of the road type opinion on it.

GDOW is brilliant, but I can see why fans of what came before wouldn't be enamoured with it. Taken without the context of the previous stuff though it's great.

WLA has one good track on it I think it's very overrated. Chimera is awful. Ordo is a beast of an album but they sound like a totally different Band.

The DMDS boxset arrived today.  It's some lump.  Looking forward to getting a chance to delve into it.

It arrived, bit of a ding on the De Mysteries album sleeve but otherwise excellent. Pleased with the new master, I never really had any fault with the old one to be honest. Love the rehersal with Atilla on it.

Just tried to get through Daemon. Laboured my way to the 4th track. It's absolutely fine but I just couldn't care less about it.

I thought it was fantastic. That said it took me a few listens to properly get into it.

That can happen with things for no obvious reason. I only listened to it twice so far but I really liked it both times

Ive given this a good few listens now and while it certainly sounds better to my ears than everything they released after DMDS, I cant see myself going back to it. It sounds actually pretty similar to the debut, and is pretty simplistic for them (which i like) - but there's nothing memorable about it for me.  I just never really rated them (bar that one album) and this release isn't going to change that for me anyway...
