Going back repeatedly over the last week, and  enjoying it a whole lot more than anything they've done since "Saturday Night Wrist" to be honest. It's a great album. It's direct, it's catchy and while it has absolutely no surprises or anything new, it just feels like like they've focused in on writing really good songs. Riddled with hooks it is. I find If i put it on I'l l generally play it twice in a row. Wasn't mad about the title track but it's grown on me - that opening riff is 100% Torche

Listening back to "Gore" currently. It really is a piss poor effort compared to the rest of their discography

Had it on the other day and I thought Spotify had just put on a Torche song!

I'm really enjoying it now, been listening all week. So catchy.

I think Terry Date is the man when it comes to bringing the best out of Deftones. Surely it's no coincidence that they find themselves back in form like this with him back in the fold..

Date announced for the 03 next summer I see

With Gojira as a support. Would they fill that venue I wonder. Vicar st was brilliant the last time.

I'll head to it anyway, enjoyed them the last few times I caught them.
Only actually listened to the new album the whole way through this morning, enjoyed it a lot.  Will see how it holds up.

They'd probably get the kind of turnout that Ghost did.

Zero interest in Deftones, but would like to see Gojira,3 Arena does seem way to big for this.

I'll get a ticket and hope for the best anyway. Seems like a risk worth taking. I'd be very surprised if they even half fill the place though

I'd see them outselling Ghost tbh. Deftones still have pull with various demographics. Sell out? Stranger things have happened.

Maybe the element of starvation for gigs will give it a push, but I've heard a few saying they won't bother buying tickets until they see how things pan out.

Raging I missed them last time so a definite for me.

I'm 100 percent going. Had tix for the last one but the Grandmother's funeral was the same day so I left it off. Heard it was decent, too

Tickets for Deftones and Gojira went on sale this morning. I think it will be wise to wait with parting with my €75 till closer to next June anyway.
The 3 Arena holds over 13,000 so I doubt this would be anywhere near a sell out.
How many were at Ghost, does anyone know?

Got my ticket anyway. If covid fully lifts by march/April you can bet this will sell out for the novelty of going to a proper gig with the shackles off.

Remember reading on boards.ie estimates of between six and seven thousand. Hoping to hit this and Nightwish in Wembley provided the situation has drastically improved by then.
