Its a joke that the champions haven't bought a CB

Chelsea showing a touch of class as usual sacking the manager mid season. Gimps.

Too many egos in the team. Tough job to get em all on side.

They dont waste anytime.
Interesting to see how Tuchel does.

I actually thought for once that a manager had gotten on top of the ego situation. I haven't heard much of players agitating. Tuchel will get on like them all, gone the first full season that they don't win the quadruple.  Piss poor as usual from Chelsea. And to think I used to enjoy following them when an oul tilt at the fa cup and a top half finish was considered a decent season. Fun is gone out of it with the business element of following a team with lofty ideas.

Chelsea played well today with the shake up in the formation. Usual new manager effect, but it got me thinking about how inflexible a lot of managers are. Lampard appeared to persist with the 4-3-3 even when other teams had obviously figured out the weak links and it was his downfall. He isn't the first manager to fall on his own sword and won't be the last and what I was thinking was, is that inflexibility a good or a bad quality in a manager or is it the fault of the players for not thriving in the system or what? I think that managers in this day and age, and especially at Chelsea, should be able to figure out the best tactics for whatever players are handed to him by the board and get on with it that way but it just had me thinking was all.

Hard to say if twas the new manager bump or what but Chelsea looked good. With the squad ye have ye should be in or around top 3 without any bother. Funny aul season though. Liverpool kinda getting back to a bit of form.

Yeah agreed about the squad. In a way that is what I was getting at with the manager thing. If it is to be the day and age of managers getting squads handed to them/foisted upon them by boards with more business and marketing sense than football sense, does the modern manager simply have to adapt to what he gets and make the best of it (assuming most of the squad is half decent players) and be open to playing any style at all, given the opponent, as long as it works to win? So 3-4-3 in one game, 4-4-2 the next, back to 3-4-3 etc, instead of developing an exact thing like Conte did at Chelsea, along with Sarri, Mourihno, Lampard and more? I was thinking of it from the perspective of managing Chelsea in particular, as it seems to apply to every single manager there that they are at odds over signings but shouldn't they know that when they take the job?

Good win for Liverpool this evening. They really needed to win that to get a bit of momentum. I feel like it's city's to lose now but the only team might pip them is Liverpool. United can get as many penos as they want but it's only a pipe dream that they could win it this year.

Most be in a minority as most Utd fans I know had no expectations of a title win this season.
If City beat liverpool next weekend I think they will be very hard to catch.

I think with Cavani Utd should be way more confident and make a go of it. It's intsresting that they went on that run after he came to the squad. They realise they were strolling. So many good players in their squad, the mindset needs to change though.

To be fair, I don't know a single United supporter who gave them any hope of a title win this year, it was just the media getting excited when they hit that top spot. Agree on City, if they beat Liverpool it's as good as done.

Brilliant singing. Supposed to be a beast in the dressing, won't let other players slack off. You can see him telling the other players where to put the ball. Runs more per game than Martial. Martial should be watching Cavani like a hawk in training to see how a pro does it. Wish we'd signed him years ago.

His movement is great, and when the likes of Greenwood score he's telling him things during the celebration. Underrated, needs a better wide player to provide for him.

Martial is robbing a living at Utd. Cavani has been a great signing.

Need a right winger full stop. Greenwood is a striker, not a winger but does an ok job on the right. Hopefully Diallo can come in but probably need an experienced right winger. Traore or Boden would fucking do at this stage.
