I watch a fair few of the Arsenal women games, nothing wrong with the quality. You're just as likely to see an utterly shite Premier league or Championship game. The idea of Fulham v Brighton is hardly going to set pulses racing

There might not be the same technical level, but then it's decades behind the men's game, goalkeeping coaches have only started to become standard in the last few years for example

As for mixed teams? Can't see it happening at all. There's no clamour for other sports to start mixing (that I've heard anyway) and don't see football being any different

You musta missed the trans athletics? Huge girls with even huger willys!

And now the Chelsea women's team manager rejecting the Wimbledon job as beneath her. Then comes out with this:

"Fran Kirby, Pernille Harder, Beth England, Magda Eriksson, Millie Bright, Maren Mjelde – do you want me to keep going? These are world-class players, and women's football is not a step down from anything."

Wonder what the score would be if Wimbledon played against her world class players?

They are world class players (I suppose, I've never heard of any of them) as long as they are playing other women. Where speed, strength and stamina are required, it's an impossibility that women can compete with men who in sport, but sure we're pretending all kinds of other facts of life are not in fact facts, and shut up about it or you hate women.

I remember seeing Terry Christian on one of those early morning shows and they were talking about women being able to play against men, specifically the woman's England team which apparently at the time where doing very well or won something.

He quite frankly stated without coming across as sexist or patronising that as good as the woman's team are, a men's division 2 team would absolutely destroy them

Division 2? Ehhh not even close. More power to women playing football, I wish them all the best, but there's a reality to the situation that I don't think people fully grasp.

I think it's just worth watching and enjoying it for what is instead of comparing it to the mens game. I don't watch say the women's athletics and go "ah yeah, she's pretty fast but Usain Bolt would destroy any time she gets"

Plus the Arsenal women's team are great and actually have a chance of picking up trophies so it's a nice alternative!

Yep, the best way to watch it. Definitely not calling for them all to be burkhad up either

If they sorted the goalies out it would make a big difference to how I see it. Every time I see a goal scored no matter how good, the keeper is at fault. A few years in the mixed league should improve things.

I think with Cavani Utd should be way more confident and make a go of it. It's intsresting that they went on that run after he came to the squad. They realise they were strolling. So many good players in their squad, the mindset needs to change though.

Brilliant singing. Supposed to be a beast in the dressing, won't let other players slack off. You can see him telling the other players where to put the ball. Runs more per game than Martial. Martial should be watching Cavani like a hawk in training to see how a pro does it. Wish we'd signed him years ago.

I think tonight proves this, game was done at half time, but you could see the attack with and without him tonight. That being said, what a result!

And only 2 red cards and a peno, light by utd standards!

Jaysus, that's a ridiculous scoreline.

Three top flight 9-0 games in the past thirty years, and United and Southampton both involved in two of them.

Salah > Fernandes  captaincy going well for the FPL top ten managers so far

Fully expected to be retracting that after the second half, shocking stuff
