This one is as good, another Crossley tale, featuring Clough and Vinny Jones :)

I guess we'll be seeing a load of penalties retaken this season.

Watched Utd today. How anyone can argue they're any better than when Mourihno or even Moyes was there is beyond me. A shambles

One positive is Van De Beek. The lad is purr quality. Him and Fernandez the future, they need to get rid of a lot of deadwood even still.

Evra'll be the next to get the chop from Sky, after bringing up the old "Zaha fucked Moyes' daughter" rumour.

I hadn't heard that rumour at all, but I'd say it's not much fun round Moyes' gaff watching the Crystal Palace highlights!

Really looking forward to Chelsea Liverpool today. If the pool don't blow them away in the first 20 minutes I can see it being a great game. Pity for Chelsea they have to play with no keeper though.

Great tackle by Christensen. Wrong sport, unfortunately.

The second half should be a harrowing experience for the chelsea back line after that. Will surely kill it as a contest really given how dominant in possession liverpool have been so far.

Jaysus that goalie is a clown! 70 million bar this lad cost, unbelievable.

Tying in with the simple pleasures thread, went to the pub for this.  Everything about it was fantastic. Pints and ball. Bliss.

Everything except the abject nature of the Chelsea performance!

This season's been brilliant fun so far. The Premier League's pure ballyhoo anyway, so I'm not overly fussed with the English media's current narrative over the handball rule/what's happened our game etc.  The season's just decided to go along with the collective madness of 2020 and be as drunk as possible. It makes up for empty stadiums somewhat, at least.

Another crazy weekend in the premier league. Love it. Leicester starting off again really well.

I wonder what odds you'd get on Pep being the first manager sacked this year.

I know fuck all about odds but I wouldn't even be committing to a fantasy league this time around. I fully expect West Brom to be in the top four for Christmas day.

I wonder how players are finding this, actually? Dawned on me there that making your millions and getting your game time without thousands of English yobs either cheering you on or slagging you off might actually be a kind of heaven for them.

Missed the Liverpool game last night. Saw the highlights. They looked in good form, the report in The Guardian says the same. Few people on Twitter grumbling about complacency and how it should have been a bigger win. Hard to see from the snippets I watched.

I have to say the Machiavellian bit of business that Athletico Madrid/Luis Suarez did is gleefully tremendous in a comic sort of way. We can all sit back to watch himself and Diego Costa absolutely shithouse the entire La Liga season. If only they'd sign Mario Balotelli before the window closes.
