He's a great manager, and as we can see witb Ancelotti, when the entire thing comes together they are greats for a reason. Utd wasn't right, Spurs definitely isn't right for him. He needs a team that is on the rise, with lads that want to die for him and not the playboy type footballers. Pogba, Dele Alli, them kind of lads will  never do well with Mourihno. He nearly killed the Madrid team the year they won La Liga here. It was the same 11 all season. I remember looking at Xabi Alonso some nights thining how is this lad still walking? But they were immense that year. He needs proper hateful bastards in his team, lads that want to win at all costs, none of your hugging and kissing. I'm not even sure that exists in England right now. All that said, I reckon there's a Champions League left in him still, he just needs the right mix.

As for Ancelotti, pure class. Probably the greatest manager out there if you really look at his record. People harp on about Guardiola etc but I'd take Ancelotti any day of the week. Old school, the man understands football on levels none of us could ever even imagine. Everton must be pinching themselves.

Definitely agree about Ancelotti. He was a bad loss for Chelsea. Some of the stuff they played in his 2 years was just brilliant. Speaking as a Chelsea supporter, I'll always have a soft spot for Jose, but I think the game has moved on a lot and the sort of hateful bastards he needs are becoming less common as time goes on. Pogba has to be the type of player that Mourihno hates the most. A grand player when it suits him but no real character. Thinking of the Chelsea team Jose had, with Cech, Carvalho, Terry, Makelele, Lampard, Drogba and even Duff and Robben it was something special. Won the league in his second stint as well not to be sneezed at. I still feel like he is done if he doesn't change his ways somewhat though

What team even has the quality of that Chelsea team in them currently though? Liverpool might come close, City no, and the rest definitely not. They were an immensely talented team as much as I couldn't stand them at the time.

Look at that squad, holy shit:

Fuck how did I forget James and Phil Younghusband!? Shame on me.

Unreal squad though and were willing to get stuck in all the time and grind out the single goal victories at the same time as having all that talent.

Jose hasn't been the same since Real Madrid, that job seemed to screw with his head. I agree that he's got a CL left in him, but at this point I think he should seriously consider international management just for his own sake.

Ancelotti is a major coup for Everton, I agree that he's probably one of the best ever. Chelsea and Real Madrid were fools to sack him.

I said Tottenham would do nothing but what a difference a signing could make. The thoughts of Bale and Kane terrorizing defences is mouthwatering. Not a fan of the club at all but a shedding of some sort touches like Dele Alli and a tougher, more Mourihno-like approach could be something special indeed. Only if they can keep them lads fit though.

Thiago to the Pool is going to be a great kick in the hole for them. They badly needed a lad like him.

I think it'd be great for the league if Bale went to Spurs. Thought he'd go to City or Utd. Must be a few nice golf courses in London.

Yeah if he can stay fit.

There was an interesting theory about the climate in Spain suiting him better as he didnt have as many injuries as he would get in England so those winter pitches will be a good test for his hamstrings :)

Gets well cold in Madrid but the humidity in England, the wet weather definitely won't help. Expecting his hadicap to suffer also.

I think Bale is exactly what Spurs need. Mourihno's tactics call for quick counters and if Bale can keep the pace up it will fit perfectly with that. Knowing Jose he will probably play him at the back though!

José now says he has too many players on his squad. He's some gas cunt.

According to all sorts of stuff I've read over the years from his former Chelsea players everything he says has an exact point to it. Can't figure it out myself though as to me he always sounds like he is just whingeing about something.

Managing Madrid changed him, added 10 years onto his life. There's a reason they change managers so often. I'm not sure if people realise the trouble he caused and the war he created with Barcelona while he was in Madrid. It was a sight to behold. I saw them a couple of times that year. The BBC thing was something else to behold and I'm not talking about pornhub. By the end of it I think even Madrid supporters had had enough of the venom that he spat at Barcelona..everyone breathed a sigh of relief when he left, but it was amazing to watch.

I watched loads of Under The Cosh, Simon Ferry, OTB and the like over the lockdown, and this was one of the funniest football stories I've ever heard. About Brian Clough, naturally.

Mark Crossley should be a comedian, he's fuckin' gas.

That is fuckin brilliant. Took the £50 outta his wages n all. Classic.
