Sorceror's excellent, only saw it for the first time a few years ago. Laced with tension, get on it.

Has to be one of the most underrated films ever made, soundtrack just makes it better.

Was listening to the Sorceror soundtrack last night as it so happens after reading that the director would've used TD for The Exorcist had he heard them earlier. Is the film worth a watch?

Also, was due to see Andy Irvine and Paul Brady last year but stuff.

If you like the Exorcist you'll like it. Definitely 'nihilistic' if you could use the word. I love the Exorcist, but wouldn't have wanted TD on the soundtrack. It's perfectly fine.

Sorcerer bombed cause it came out the same weekend as some sci fi action film, can't remember the name of it.

Good film and ya, all about the tension. In relation to the soundtrack, I think that the dark synth of TD would've dated The Exorcist rather than the timeless Oldfield soundtrack.

Totally, the Oldfield one isn't overused too, the silence works with The Exorcist, with Sorcerer I was apprehensive for that reason but it just seems to give it a unique vibe. Apparently TD hadn't even seen the film when they wrote it.

I'm no expert on them, but I do go through phases of listening to loads of TD. Zeit, Phaedra, and Rubycon would be my top turn-tos. Never heard the Sorcerer soundtrack, or seen the film though, so that's two things to look forward to!

Phaedra is very good, I think they built upon it well. I don't mind their prog rock stuff either, like Cyclone.

Speaking of dark synthy, soundscapey stuff, I recommend this album every couple of years (or at least it feels like I do). Absolutely perfect wind-right-down at the end of the night/drift off into opium dreams stuff:

I think you may have put that up recently enough Chris. I had it saved to my playlist, it's great.

Listening to Thom Yorke's solo albums a bit the last few days. Tomorrows Modern Boxes and Anima. Really enjoying them both.

Listening to a lot of Ben Klock lately

Think it's mentioned back in the thread but had Colin Stetson - All This I Do For Glory on today and it was great. Definitely going to dig into his stuff a bit more
