Really enjoying the Mary Wallopers stuff, three buck's from Dundalk, they have an album out but also some great live recording of other tunes, they seem like a mad bastards aswell.

Might be blasphemy but you can't beat the first Gomez album for the hot summer evenings. Might be a nostalgia thing but it's the business with a few beers.

Aye checked out a lot by them. This is just utter genius. I nearly burst a funny fuse first time I saw it.

That album was the only one of theirs that I liked TBH. Great one for lounging around in hot weather, though. Yer man Ottewell has some voice.

Gomez were metal guys?? Interesting.  I always thought they were catchy as hell but never bought anything.

I remember reading an interview with one of them and it was to the effect of "people are always surprised when I reply 'Carcass' when I'm asked who my favourite band is".

Or something to that effect.

I never knew that, I never paid any attention to their interviews.

For those interested in Dub Reggae you can't go wrong with Scientist: 'Rids The World Of The Evil Curse Of The Vampires' (1981).

I think Carcass were mentioned in an episode of Friends. Snidely, I'm sure.
