The new Manic Street Preachers' album "The Ultra Vivid Lament" is very good. Much better than the last one (which I barely gave a chance, it must be said).

The Manics are always much better when Wire doesn't force his current agenda too much (like he did on the preceding record), just writes the lyrics and lets Bradfield and Moore get on with the music.

One thing that can be said for the MSP is that they never stay in the same rut musically.
