Loads to listen to from this thread already!

I haven't heard their new one yet but enjoyed Forn's 'The Departure of Consciousness' when it first came out.

Cool album.

I get the impression Eoin is looking for something very specific, but maybe give Mizmor's 'Yodh' a go. Lots of classic doom death moments, but the vocals have a very disembodied feel about them at times.

The emphasis is on the DEATH part of Doom Death. As it should be with this genre.

Nah,  for me there's a difference between death metal that is slow and doom death.  There's a lot of slow death metal around and while some of it is good and atmospheric,  a lot of it is just heavy and ultimately dull. I don't tend to like my doom to be overly weepy (Warning aside ;) ) but it has to have some gloom about it.

They are not a new band. But I think the Russians.Who Dies in Siberian Slush, are worthy of a mention.
