Think this deserves it's own thread. Another stunning album, maybe the best of the three?? For me anyway it's probably my most played record of the year. Really old school, riff wise but the level of filth is something else - those vocals. It's a shame if this is truly the last one.

As a side note, the artwork put me off these lads for the longest time. Not through offence - just thought it was so bottom of the barrel. Especially the second one. Can't help but think they might have gained a little more momentum if there was a tad more thought put into it.

We are dealing with a band called "Pissgrave" though. DOn't think they are going for subtlety

No, but it's a bit low brow. Even for a band with that moniker. And it's been done.

With the music being so great it's displays a lack of thought to merely trawl through BestGore or similar for the image as was done with Posthumous Humiliation

You should check them out no other band out there sounds like them. The album covers are great they suit the music perfectly. They just need to reissue the demo on vinyl.

3rd is my album of the year but the 1st one is still the best.

Took me a while to get past the name and artwork too but when you really want to wallow in the filth there's few better recommendations than these boys but ,crucially, the riffs are there, the songs are there, ..songs? Can't call these songs, tracks, the tracks are there and I've returned to it a lot this year.
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Yeah they're cool, of course I've listened to them. Very filthy. I'm just saying that they are obviously going for filth and brutality and their covers suit that IMO. Be weird if they had an orc wielding a magic broadsword at a medieval banquet or something wouldn't it. Big lavish logo in serif font

Plenty of ways that can be conveyed without scraping the bottom of the barrel. Suicide Euphoria is the best of the three cover wise.

Had a listen there

Pretty filthy alright

Some great riffs throughout

Reminds me of some Deicide, Vader, Morbid Angel

Yeah would have never checked them out because of the covers, find that sorta thing very trite and needlessly distasteful, personally.

But seeing the discussion here, I gave it a go and fuck me they sound absolutely class. Really good stuff.

There's a million better ways to get the "we're heavy and filthy" buzz across than pictures of a mangled/decaying suicide victim. The demo cover in particular is some depraved shit.

I don't think anyone here would be too chuffed if a picture of their dead relative ended up on some edgelord's demo tape.

Which is such a shame because the music is indeed great.

The music is OK at best, but the puerile covers and band name are just a dealbreaker. It's fucking stupid.

Music is savage and while they wouldn't be my choice, the album covers suit them perfectly. Shame if it's their last one.

I never bothered with them because of the name and the rotten .com album covers. I've seen them reviewed on Pitchfork so they must be doing something right.

Gave them a listen there. It's good stuff.
