Almost poetic that the show in Birmingham happened so close to his death..... RIP....

Just read that, shit news alright. RIP

Melted me poor cold metal heart a little bit. Fuck. Good night sweet prince of darkness!  :abbath:  :abbath:  :abbath:

And most of his fans don't even have sleeves on their denim jackets to dry their tears on

Edit: still mad that he went out so soon after that final gig

Lovely way to go for him and his fans he suffered enough. Funnily enough I picked up some Sabbath vinyl and hourcago to complete collection.  Great singer but a relief id say

Really sad news.
I was listening to Vol 4 yesterday while driving and thinking to myself just how brilliant Sabbath were.

Someone at the concert messaged me that they thought he wouldn't  live much longer. It's just great he got to perform one final time. It has to be a Black Sabbath play list tonight and a drop of whiskey taken for the Prince of Darkness.

An absolute legend in his day. His Sabbath work and early solo work is streets ahead of what most people could hope to achieve. Sad that he was rolled out the way he was at the recent show but at least he kind of kept going to the end

What a Legend, glad I got to see him twice. He's left us some great music & memories. Farewell Ozzy RIP.

Some legacy. Fitting end to have a stadium gig on his home turf as a final goodbye to fans. Won't be another prince of darkness  :abbath: RIP Ozzy

One of the last true icons, goodnight sweet prince. Into the void.

Shit buzz. Was listening to his 80's stuff earlier, oblivious to this.

Mike Inez's visit to the site of McGonagles last week, and passing by there on Saturday telling the wife about the two gigs there, had me thinking how much me and my mates idolised him as young fellas. He could do no wrong up until that poxy tv show came out.
