Blind Guardian, what a call! Always felt like some weird internal guilty pleasure even though I've no shame in saying I love them. But I'll take Somewhere Far Beyond over Nightfall any day. Actually nightfall probably wouldn't make my top 3

Ah it's an old cassette a friend of mine picked up in a market in Turkey back in the early nineties,.MG records..bootleg as moonshine and any blue was probably faded well out through the Summers back then when you'd take your ghettoblaster to the park with your cans. Come to think of it that old double deck stereo of mine was  blue as well and I've been eying up one the same colour on Amazon for the nostalgia of it.

Same, I think Nightfall is great but I'd probably have a top three of Somewhere Far Beyond, Imaginations, and probably controversially, The God Machine

For me, Tales, Somewhere, and Imaginations sound like build ups to Nightfall. Don't mind the later albums, but they don't grab me either, would take the first two over any of them.
