Entombed are back on the Left Hand Path

Looking forward to this with Nicke back with the lads. And hopefully he's doing vocals.

Not to rain on anyone's parade but do we need another bunch of lads in their 50s trying to recapture the magic of an album they wrote when they were teenagers. Happy to be wrong all the same.

Yeah I like the vocals on Clandestine. I'm by no means a big Entombed fan and I think the Nihilist demos are better/ filthier, but I will be curious to see if they can muster up something relevant.

I like the clandestine vocals too and I reckon they add to the charm of the album but I don't think I'd want to hear them on another album.

With Nicke doing Hellacoptors/Lucifer I wouldn't think it'll be a full time thing.

Plus Death Breath definitely showed he's got it in him to write death metal.

Yeah dunno about this. Love Entombed but as someone said, lads in their 50's and past glories and all. A live show - great but no hope for a record I think.

Same, be cool to see them again. I seen them twice swith petrov which was great. Not sure if they will recapture anything, but sure we'll see

I only managed to catch them once at a festival,  and as a support for I think Amon Amarth in The Academy? Would love to see them properly

I only saw them the once, around '96/'97 I think - the tour with Neurosis, they played the Temple Bar Music Centre. They were great, even if a lot of the 'current' material wasn't too popular. The place went nuts for Left Hand Path, the last time I went moshing, I think.

They played twice in the late 90s as I recall, and I went to both gigs. The one you mentioned was my introduction to Neurosis... wow! Entombed were fun but just couldn't compare. Voivod opened that gig I think?

Who played with them the next time? Medulla Nocte? Breach?

Breach opened that gig, Voivod supported Neurosis on the TOG tour, Today Is The Day opened that one.

That was my introduction to Neurosis too (bar a Discharge cover I'd heard on a compilation), blew me away. The visuals were great too, really added to their impact.
