Hello guys, thanks to all of you for making the effort to help understand what actually happened. I still don't though. My guess is some very rigid and strict custom procedures are at play there in Ireland. Or maybe some public servant found the content offensive or something, who knows? I wouldn't be surprised if the reason was something that banal and stupid... The magazine has been successfully shipped to 24 different countries so far, from Greenland to Australia, and nothing similar ever happened. Very unfortunate situation. However, it's not your fault and I'll refund the money to everybody who didn't get their copy. Also, I'll see to send you a digital copy at least, because the whole point of this undertaking is to spread the word about these bands and their music.
Very sorry that things panned out this way, but what can we do... Another costly lesson for me to learn and have in mind for the second issue.

Very decent of you, .. Maybe get in touch with Invictus and us country bumpkins could get good of the mag from there?

All the refunds have been taken care of.

I'll see to make some sort of arrangement with Invictus, for sure. And I hope I'll manage to figure out what happened in the next couple of days.

Thanks, and again, my apologies for this unfortunate situation.

:abbath: best of luck with it

As promised, I've just sent the PDF version of the magazine to people who couldn't receive the physical copies - I apologize for the delay.
That said, Darragh of Invictus should receive his physical copy any day now, fingers crossed. If that happens and no obstacle appears right before the finishing line, it will confirm the problem with the customs is solved.

When the second issue of the magazine comes out (hopefully in early/mid February), Ireland will be put back on the list of the countries it's possible to make a purchase from. Thanks again for your understanding and patience.

Fantastic magazine, if the quality keeps on being this good I will buy every single new issue you release. This is the sort of maniacal passion and dedication to the cause that I have always had a soft spot for. Keep up the good work Sir.

TOTAL SUPPORT!!!

The second issue of the magazine features introspective, in-depth interviews with the following bands:

• Vile Rites
• Dordeduh
• Aberrator
• Shaarimoth
• Defeated Sanity
• Siderean
• Cosmic Putrefaction
• Mörk Gryning
• Deeds of Flesh
• Vastum

Professionally printed and lushly designed, in full colour, on 115 gsm paper of the highest quality, with covers printed on 300 gsm glossy paper, "Embrace Death" is an exclusively
interview-based magazine that aims to support everything worthwhile in the contemporary underground extreme metal.

"Unquestionably some of the best underground metal journalism out there, with an honest and thought-provoking approach that's hard to match."
Robert Andersson (Sweven/Morbus Chron)

"Well thought, in-depth questions, touching all aspects such as music, background, and the spiritual mind. It was a sheer pleasure to answer the questions and when finished, it felt like some sort of valid testament which I will be always proud of."
Mors Dalos Ra (Sijjin/Necros Christos)

"Embrace Death sheds light on the treasures of the underground, and the visions behind it. Read and weep!"
Sindre Solem (Obliteration/Nekromantheon)

"Embrace Death is an essential resource. The perspicacity of research and authenticity towards questions do exactly what a great interview should. If music speaks for itself, it's the task of an insightful interview to drill deeper towards the source of creativity, to engage thought above the impetuousness which goes into writing metal."
YBH (Grave Miasma)

It's only gone and happened again, shipment terminated at customs in Dublin, the guys are now giving up on shipping to Ireland and refunds imminent.
Just trying to fathom this, could it be the name of the magazine is seen as some sort of suicide promotion thing, I don't know, it's ridiculous.

That's bat shit crazy  >:(  Especially considering some LP covers in a package that Customs opened on me last year and sent on its' merry way no problem.

I know, totally perplexed by it.
