I have no idea why there are so cheap but I thought I'd post here considering you didn't pay a huge amount for the Guitar & love it - beautiful looking guitar BTW.  I thought these might be an option for you at a cheaper price.  Have a look at some of the reviews and comparisons on Youtube & see what you think.  As I said I have them in my Epiphone at the moment and they are excellent.  I built a 7 String V (from a kit) and I have a pair of these in it as well.  I'm only at the electronic testing stage so no intonation done yet but what's working sounds great so far.

Which 7 string kit are you talking about? Got a link?
I am thinking about getting a new body for my Ibanez S series(I am sure the kit body will not fit, but I would still like to see what is it about).

Here's the link https://www.pitbullguitars.com/

I found them good to deal with.  I went for the Gibson Style V with 7 .  They are an Australian company with all the factory work being done in China.  All the wood for mine is really good quality.  I bought with a friend and he got 3 kits all of which were  great quality too.  Hope this helps.

Thanks a bunch for the link. These guys have some interesting shapes to offer........
So, the quality is decent, you say?
I just love Gibson style Vs, having it as a 7 must be hotter than the sun.

I found the quality decent... obviously you are prohibited better upgrading the hardware pickups etc.

Here's my work in progress so far...I'll have to figure out how to post an image so

I hope this works..

Thanks so much for the photos....the guitar is looking very tempting, have to say.

No problem at all.  :)

That looks lovely.
I've been looking at LP kits. Would I be better off getting a cheap Harley Benton lp and upgrading pickups etc...?

Is the quality of the kits good for the money?

To be honest I've don't know.  I don't own a Harley Benton but I was very tempted to buy one of their 5 string bass guitars last year.  What I found about the kit is that it's a learning process from start to finish & I'm not fully finished yet.  I didn't know what to expect but I loved working with the wood, sanding and staining and watching the appearance change over the course of the build and then the electrics were new for me too.  My friend did most of the wiring but I got loads from it too.  To finish off the setting up there is a guy in Dublin who runs one day workshops for about €100 so I'm very tempted to give this a go and learn that side of things.  I suppose if you're just into the electric side of things get the HB and change the pickups  :)

Fair enough. Sounds like the building part gives it a personal touch.

Interesting to see those Entwhistle pickups, never heard of them. Amazingly cheap... I wonder why?

Are these actually made by Entwhistle or are they the cheap Chinese made pickups with a label slapped on them? I came across a lot of them when I was shopping for pickups in my build. Ended up going for one and it does the job, but it's nothing special.

Fitted the Duncan black winter pick-up in the bridge today... sounds great. Compared it before and after with the "esp designed" ones in the Ltd, night and day difference.

Has anyone here played a Yamaha Revstar? Specifically the RS620 models?

Lovely looking guitars. I was initially looking at maybe getting an LTD EC-1000 at the end of the year but this caught my eye too.
