Got myself a Jackson soloist SLX8 a year and a half ago and have massive problems with the intonation which is annoying. Other than that it is amazing to play

I played a few Revstars on a trip to the states a couple of years back and had HUGE gas for one for ages after. I was in the market for an SG type guitar and played loads of Gibsons and Epiphones across the whole range and the Yamaha's smoked all of them. Great playing, really solid and sounded fantastic in every shop I tried it in.
Was gassing after the Billet green p90 loaded model specifically myself.

Picked up a few Marshall pedals in a job lot on adverts recently for cheap. The Jackhammer dist/od, Supervibe and Vibratrem. First impressions are pretty good! Supervibe is a bit noisy but the Jackhammer is a very versatile dirt box that I can see myself using in the future. Trem is pretty nice too, I might try it on synth!

I'm after a fairly unique guitar and while I love LP's I do already own a LP style guitar.

I'll be visiting Wales fairly soon and apparently a shop in Cardiff stocks the Revstar range so hopefully I'll be able to try one there.

Got to try out Laney Ironheart studio. Jesus, some volume for a 15watt amp. Very tempted now. Also bought Helix hx stomp. Was going to use that with four cable method into Joyo, but that Laney. Mighty tempting to get one of them and just have that & helix as simple all in one set up.

Couldn't resist buying a 23" sabian override today (used).  Christ its huge, some sound.

I'm looking for a few cheap pedals to play around with. Mostly for bass. I'm noticing a lot of cheap "nano/micro" pedals around the £20 mark and they all look pretty similar. Brands like Mooer, Moskey and Donner. Does anybody have any experience with them? Are they Chinese clones or complete garbage I'd be wasting money on?

By and large they're perfectly adequate. I've had a few Mooer over the years but now Mosky,  Donner, Tomsline and a few others are even cheaper but do the same job.  I have a Cuvave Chorus and Pitch shifter, Tomsline Flanger and Rat clone  that I use on my synths board. The only one that's not great is the Chorus.

Good stuff. Might start off with one of the RAT style clones and see how it works out.

I have a bunch of the cheap chinese pedals and by and large they're solid. Caline, Mosky, Kokko, Mooer, Joyo, Nux, Rowin are all brands I own multiple pedals of and have found them to be good all round. They're cheap as chips on Aliexpress and if you check the stores for vouchers/coupons you can ofter get a few more quid off if you buy a couple of them at the same time. Same if you catch them during a sale, but beware that they often inflate their prices right before  a sale so the savings can be misleading!

Generally all kinds of chinese dirt pedals are great- they're simple circuits and have been cloned for years.
Pitch pedals are very hit and miss so make sure you check out some videos before buying one. I have a Mooer that tracks well but any other cheap ones I've tried really really suck.
Simple reverbs and analogue delays are often good. The Mooer pro series stuff is really really good and often less than half the price of what they charge on thomann.
Phasers are generally Phase 90 clones.
Choruses tend to be the sterile, cold sounding type which I personally am not a massive fan of.

The NUX new stuff seems great. I'll probably buy the Atlantic verb/delay when I see it for a good price.

Worst brand i've bought has been ENO. I have a few of their pedals and they're totally shite.

Theres a good video on yourtube in the last few days showing a bunch of the Behringer pedals, and the originals that they emulate, in a nice side by side comparison. Some of them sound completely useable.

Got a notion after seeing Amon Amarth in the castle the other week so pulled the trigger on one of these. Now I just have to wait the 6 weeks for it to arrive

Prob swap out the pups at some stage but if all goes well, I'd take a chance on this

Yup, I know it ain't gonna be the best guitar in the world but I'm willing to take a punt on it for €300.  The AA and Metallica gigs have re-ignited my Explorer-love.

Took delivery of this guitar last week. Got it from a shop in Moscow through reverb.com. Always wanted to get a USA Gibson V, and in particular one of the 67 reissues with an ebony fretboard. The guitar is amazing. I immediately switched out the bridge and tailpiece to a black tonepros one and switched the Kluson tuners to black Hipshot locking ones. Looks class. Had my first practice with it Sunday and it was so much fun to play. Bridge pickup is very hot versus my LP Custom bridge pickup. Will have to adjust my rig to suit.
