Quote from: Pain Medicine on May 11, 2024, 07:38:58 PMBasically the performers themselves have dragged the event down into a bunch of brain smoothing tiktok drama. The Dutch guy got booted for allegedly threatening a photographer and Bambie has launched a last minute bid to get Israel disqualified cause the Israeli broadcaster said mean things about her on Tuesday night.

Not the performers. The israeli delegation have been a pack of utter cunts all week. Goading everyone all week.

Well, I'm watching it too and the performers do seem like a pack of cunts but you're our man in Sweden I guess.

That fecking Lithuania entry from 2006 is rattling around my head the past 2 days! Family are demented from me doing the We Are the Winners chorus every so often

The bought public vote around the world by a push from Israel's embassies is all fine with the EBC I presume despite alleged bans on political interference.

From the outside the whole event looked like this to me..

Watched some of it last night and thought it was a load of political shite at times and that jumping up of Ukraine from the public vote was mock. Their song was bad

I thought the Ukrainian song was one of the better ones and actually deserved a good finish on merit. I think it and Portugal were my favourites. Bambie's performance was very good too best production Ireland have had probably ever. The production in general for a few of the songs was incredible for a single song, there was a distinct drop off for songs like Estonia, Greece and Georgia where it was like Eurovision from years back.

I know Croatia were favourites going into it but I thought theirs was pretty shit. Thought Finland would do better as well, the song was trash but respect to your man for broadcasting his hairy arse.

For a "non political" event, reading this and who did what, it a very thin veil.

Absolutely fuck the Eurovision, and everything about it.

Quote from: Bürggermeister on May 10, 2024, 01:53:14 PMThe Icelandic one from a few years ago was a bit of craic. The tall fella did all the music but, since he could have 6 people on stage, invited his pregnant wife, his sister and some mates perform with him, playing pretend keytars they made themselves. The lad pulling faces is a teacher and was back in school a few days later 😂

He was favourite to win the covid year it was cancelled  - His song that year was even better. Banger.

Such a shame covid happened as that banger of a tune was a shoe in. It's such a deadly tune.

And yes the ECB (aka eurovision) with their carry on can get fucked.

Class! Who knew one could still discover proper daycent tunes through Eurovision!

Can't get the idea of Rammstein doing a cover of that Croatian song out of my head, Its made for them.

Well, the Croatian guy did get VERY inspired by Rammstein's Laichzeit main guitar riff(plus Pain - Party in My Head for the chorus) himself.
Rim Tim Tagi Dim was basically not made FOR Rammstein, but it was made BY them for the good chunk of the song :)
