I'm over here for the week at it (herself is into eurovision). Been at two of the shows. The stage show and production is frankly the best I've ever been to. I can stand behind the stage so see all that goes into it. Bambi along with Croatia got the biggest cheer. Whoever came up with the routine for the song did a very good job.

The music is not my thing at all. But the atmosphere over here in Malmo is fantastic. Everyone is bang on sound and just having the craic. Malmo is a lovely spot.

If you have spare time, Folk å Rock in Malmo is definitely worth a visit. It's a record shop and bar with outside seating in a nice square.

Song can't exceed 3 minutes, I think no more than 6 people are allowed on stage during the performance, including backup dancers/singers. No live animals are allowed on stage (nobody wants a repeat of the Great Pigeon Incident of '76) and all music must be pre-recorded, no live instruments are played during the performance, just vocals are live (with some backing overdubs allowed) - lyrically nothing political. Glitter is mandatory I repeat, mandatory!

The Icelandic one from a few years ago was a bit of craic. The tall fella did all the music but, since he could have 6 people on stage, invited his pregnant wife, his sister and some mates perform with him, playing pretend keytars they made themselves. The lad pulling faces is a teacher and was back in school a few days later 😂
