I'm amazed that nobody's mentioned Vince Neil yet.

Quote from: The Heretic on May 22, 2024, 08:10:47 AMYes there would be a potential payday if Bach rejoined, but it's like getting back with an ex gf, all the old shite will eventually bubble up again...

I wonder how much that would be worth to them though.

Firstly, aside from an initial bump, how much would their status go up really? Skid Row had two multi platinum albums, but didn't sell nearly as many records as someone like say, Poison, who were still 3rd on the bill with Motley Crue and Def Leppard on that stadium tour.

They aren't going to be headlining stadiums or massive arenas, or making G'N'R money. Depending on the territory, on their initial run at least they would likely be playing bigger venues than the current line-up, or Bach solo, but would that momentum last beyond that?

Also, I would presume Snake, Scotti and Rachel have a partnership, with the likes of Erik Gronwall or Rob Hammersmith being a salaried members. There is no way Bach would accept a smiliar deal, even if his smaller piece comes from a bigger pie. He's either going to want to be a partner, or have a really significant pay day to make up for the fact that he isn't. After all, he is taking the lions share of the profits from his solo career.

Also, there is the danger that things won't work out. Will they get sick of him again, or he will want even more money or control etc as things progress? And what the fuck do they do then? It's one thing to lose Gronwall and have people wonder what the fuck you are at, but it's quite another to have Bach back, and then leave again, and then look for yet another replacement.

This is just my uneducated take of course. What the fuck do I know? Maybe if they played it right, managed things well, perhaps planned for retirement after a few years, or anticipated the risks of any potential fallout it could work for them.

Quote from: The Heretic on May 21, 2024, 04:10:18 PMHas Sebastian Bach's head exploded yet?

Apparently so. He basically just said that his replacements (and I presume this is also a pretty shitty dig at Gronwall's health issues) are "pussies".

I wouldn't want Bach to change. Rock is supposed to be dangerous. Bach didn't get to where he got to by watching his mouth.

In relation to your other post - some good points made there, 100% it's not like a Sabbath reunion or whatever but it would be mutually beneficial. I can see how Bach generates a modest income, he only really tours the US and he has other opportunities here and there - broadway, TV appearances etc. I do not understand how Skid Row continue as a viable financial entity, Biker Fests, Bowling alleys and any shithole you can think of. Look at their touring partners too, Warrant Buckcherry, Co-Headliners with Ugly Kid Joe - and at that they can't even fill the toilets they play.

Given their ages I think a reunion could well prove to give both parties a financial boost. They'd definitely do ok on the festival circuit. They'd go down well with punters and although they wouldn't be headlining Download for example I'm sure they could command better dollar than they're generating now. Doing their own shows might be more questionable, really don't know what the numbers would be there but surely it'd be better than what both sides attract now.

The partnership thing is spot on but nobody is looking for a new record here so a share of the live spoils could be an option. Though we are presuming Bach has no financial ties with the band, who knows what was signed upon his exit.

I do think the fact that the original line-up hasn't played in decades would be an attraction certainly. And I bet they would do much better in Europe than a lot of the other 80's/early 90's bands would.

They would definitely do the business in Japan.

Well his latest replacement has one......so he's almost right...

I see Rob Affuso is playing drums on Bach's recent music videos.
Don't think they've recorded together, though.

Also!
Has anyone seen Scotti Hill in those latest Youtube clips?
Looks like hes morphing into John Carpenter.

I noticed that as well..jees he's aged a lot..

A couple of days ago Bach was going about some big thing he had just found out which would clear up a lot of miscommunication between both parties. He made it out to be something did or done that each blamed the other for but apparently neither party were to blame at all.
Still I can see it them resolving it.
