Quote from: Necro Red on January 13, 2025, 10:42:01 AMI didn't know Jack Owen was with them now. That's pretty cool to be fair. Together with Barnes they did write some killer songs with Corpse. They should try get Bob Russay on board for the craic. I'd say Alex and Paul from Corpse wouldn't like that ha ha

Think Jack Owen randomly goes around Tampa storage units looking for bands"hey guys wanna jam?". Death metal Colin Robinson head on him 🤣

I never really bothered with Six Feet Under as I was never into Cannibal,  but some of that EEEEEEE compilation footage on YouTube and especially the comments under where guys decipher the eeees are fucking hilarious.
I had no idea , I would definitely go to see them to hear the Eeeeees cranked out

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

This thread had me listening to Haunted & Warpath this morning.

The cringe does kick in on Warpath. Good craic though

I only have and have only ever heard Maximum Violence. It has some good moments.
Perfect for a straight up chuggy chug.

Do they have an decent albums at all? I've only listened to songs over the years and never really went beyond that. I remember hearing that song America The Brutal years ago and thinking it was terrible

Good question. I think Haunted is great, sounds like Obituary with Chris singing. Warpath is also cool, more of a slower Sabbath type vibe to that one very few fast songs. After that it's anything from utter scutter to passable.

Death Rituals is deadly.
Seed Of Filth is on it, which is one of the best death metal songs of all time in my opinion.

I'm not a Death Metal head at all really, for me the likes of Obituary, Carcass, and Six Feet Under hit spot when I want to go heavier but still be able to swing my pants.

Haunted is the only one I bothered with, musically it's great but his voice on it does nothing for me. Bits and pieces I've heard since have all been crap.

I haven't listened to SFU in a long time but the first couple of releases up to and including True Carnage are good with the exception of Graveyard classics. The last album I bought was the one that came with the Chris Barnes Bobble head which I think was Commandment that was back when I still bought cds. Sold off the CD years ago but still have the bobble head somewhere which I would not sell. The last release I actually heard was Death Rituals which had a few decent songs on it.

I don't currently own a physical copy of any SFU releases and don't intent on buying any of the material I like unless I saw them somewhere for bargain basement prices because I have too much other stuff ahead of them that I want to buy. They are currently touring the US with Nile. I don't think we will ever see SFU in Ireland for a show unless they end up as support for someone they don't even play England much all they want to do in Europe is play in Germany.

I bought Haunted when it came out,but never really ventured much further after that. The album of cover songs! ,TNT christ above!

He should have had the dreads taken off him for the covers. Total shite.
