I recall hearing them cover ACDC quite badly I might add. Those vocals were ridiculous ha ha

Ok, I gave Undead and Maximum Violence a listen over the weekend and I really enjoyed them. Grand and catchy, did the trick while I was painting skirting boards. I'd definitely go see them if they came over here. Pretty cool Jack Owens is with them now. I always thought he was a very good song writer with very catchy songs. Doesn't seem to be the most excited live performer though  or has that changed

I gave the new album a listen earlier and find it a bit repetitive in places. The best tracks are the ones where they step up the tempo and have blast beats. I feel like the drummer is wasted on the band as he is generally just plodding along which is what a half decent drummer could do. He played with the Faceless and Vital Remains like. Anyway, not a terrible album but not one I'd be blasting regularly

Same with their bassist, he's an incredible player but you'd never know it from listening to their albums. I get that Barnes probably is happy with the basic meat and veg death metal, but letting the two of them loose every now then could add so much

Barnes is a great man and good craic for the shout outs" "your a magnificent cunt", which cheered up a buddy who was going through the wars and quite ill last year

yea, I watched a live show on YouTube the other night and the bassist is rocking a 6 string. Could do with letting loose a bit more alright

This went up last night. Watched the first 20 mins not at all what I was expecting as he talks about his Mother and Father who both died only 2 months ago. He is fully sober doesn't even smoke weed anymore.

Man in coma brought back by Six Feet Under? Was it Graveyard Classics?

I'm about that into it myself. He really has changed over the past few years. He was a spicy cunt himself. He'd quite often post about Cannibal Corpse (The Records He Featured on) but would get snippy with fans when they'd ask questions but as I say he seems to have chilled. Must've hurt getting turfed out of Corpse, and I have to say they're a much worse band without him. Barnes isn't up to much vocally now but his performances on those first four albums set the bar. Each record was completely different vocally. Corpsegrinder is such a useless vocalist - every performance is the same and dialled in, patterns, tone etc. Think I tapped out after Bloodthirst, which alongside Gallery and Vile were decent enough.

I wouldn't call Corpsegrinder useless now. It isn't easy to deliver very fast vocal patterns the way he does. He's a pro

Corpsegrinder is fuckin unreal on Monstrosity - Imperial Doom so I understand him getting the gig. My interest in Corpse after Barnes is patchy but that's moreso due to the music than his vocals.

Ah I concede on Monstrosity - great record. Maybe useless is the wrong word. Unimaginative, repetitive, monotonous.

Compare to Barnes 4 records where we got 4 distinctly different vocal approaches.

Not just Barnes, the whole band & Scott Burn's production changes.

Sure they were all young lads still learning and Burns was figuring out death metal production.
