Came in late, so I missed Testament, but Kreator were beastly. I'm up in the balcony, but it looks like a serious crowd.

I wonder how much the place holds with the upper tier curtained off. I'm guessing 5k, at least.

Class performances from Testament and Kreator. Testament sounded good but I thought the sound for Kreator was a bit better.

Alex Skolnick though, surely one of metal's all time best lead guitarists? Melody, phrasing, tone, technicality and speed. That was my 6th time seeing them and probably the most impressed I've been by him. To be fair, it's also probably the most sober I've been when seeing him too
A fair bit of newer material in the set, but it sounded great. They played Return to Serenity, which I've never seen them play live before and it was amazing.

Kreator were just fucking lethal, great stage show, very aggressive lights.

Watched about 4 Anthrax songs and left early to get a bus. They were good but I'm just not really into them and they certainly weren't going to top what just went down. I thought that promo video before their set was a bit weird, just felt a bit insecure or something.

Saw a few younger looking people in their late teens in high vis (security!?) getting stuck into some moshing, great to see!
Some unlucky fucker got badly hurt during Testament, seen security trying to escort him away, the poor cunt looked rattled and could barely walk, he ended up being taken away in a wheelchair. Didn't seem to have any friends with him at the time, I hope he's ok.

Awesome show, still trying to figure out what I liked best, certainly no disappointments there, except maybe sound quality here and there (mainly with Testament)...two tough gigs for Anthrax to follow, though I thought they were great...felt the crowd was getting a tad tired towards the end, not surprising after the brutal metal storm we had just endured...and I've just never been a fan of those childish cliché plastic devils Kreator seem to be so fond of, though these are just a detail...and yes, as someone else has already pointed out, that intro clip for Anthrax was a tad weird, somehow very 'un-metal', if that means anything...hope no-one got hurt in all the circle pits and walls of death they had going tonight...a decent crowd, too...anyone got the bands' set lists?

The intro video anthrax had was the most cringe metal moment I have ever witnessed live .

The are not my cup of tea anyway ,totally overated band .

Kreator were band of the night for me and testament were decent but that ballad was a bit shite and didn't really fit well .

Decent gig

Great night, throughly enjoyed all 3 bands!,Kreators stage show was class!,been 19 years since I last saw them!.That was my first time seeing Testament,(I'm not sure how ive managed that),brilliant stuff!.Im a big Anthrax fan so I was well happy with their performance.

There was a great buzz ,a good mix of young and old heads!

It's weird how things turn in the metal world;if someone said to you 20 years ago that those bands would pull a crowd like that in the 3Arena you'd have laughed at them.

I liked the intro video! Reminds me of the stuff Metallica used to play before their gigs. Seeing the crowd reaction to the different musicians and celebrities wad entertaining.

Anthrax came off as a headliner at first, but their set starting to get tired legs in the second half.

The sound was the best I've heard in the 3Arena (perhaps anywhere). Maybe it has something to do with my seat being in the balcony area.

Quotecrowd like that in the 3Arena you'd have laughed at them.

What'd it do in the end? Looked like there was huge sections curtained off?

Quoteanyone got the bands' set lists?

You don't need Anthrax's - just any set of theirs from the last 20 years.

It was an awesome show with great production. Only way we in Ireland can get that full European Kreator headline production and seeing Testament do Return to Sanity was a treat.

I love these big package tours like the Megadeth, Slayer, Priest ones that have come through over the years.

I thought the floor seemed quite busy. Presume it did well enough to justify putting on seeing as this tour only hit the Apollo in London and Manchester anyway. Hopefully there's more to come.

And for old buggers like me, the sets were perfect length

Would there have been 5k there?

Great gig all round.
Kreator were epic. Felt like they were headlining.

I really feel Testament get short shrift. With the talent they have in the current lineup, better sound could have made them band of the night for me.

Really enjoyable night. First time seeing Kreator. Band of the night for me - even if the lads with the masks and torches reminded me of the ad for curry chips "Ah, Mary, we have the hall booked till 9". Anthrax intro vid would have been fine if slimmed down to 30 seconds or so. Cartoon bit was fun though. Joey in great form I thought. Toms of energy.  Great seeing DME/MCD booking gigs like this.

Anthrax would probably be better off going on 2nd,that Kreator show is hard to follow!.And I'm not a huge Kreator fan!.

Edit The Cartoon bit was class in the Anthrax intro.

Had to miss this after a last minute change to work shifts, but great to hear all the good reports, hopefully it can draw a few similar tours over here

What was the story with the Anthrax video though? Anyone got a link to it?

I did enjoy that cartoon part (was that Machine Gun Kelly that got decapitated?), and it was fun to see who got the biggest cheer (Phil Anselmo?).

The talking heads part just seemed like some validating shite that went on far too long, different voices saying Anthrax Anthrax Anthrax Anthrax Anthrax Anthrax which cresendo'd into a massive visual cue 'CHEER FOR US' on the big screen.

I'm sure lots of people enjoy that kind of goofy humor, I just found it pretty lame in the moment and very cringey.

But then again, I enjoy Limp Bizkit so who fucking cares

Somebody uploaded the cartoon part on youtube:
